We are changing every day. Change is life. Life is change. If we are not changing, what are we doing?
Growing or dying.
Remember, “There is no growth without discomfort.” If you want to grow, you must be ready to get uncomfortable.
Jim Rohn said, “You can change all things for the better when you change yourself for the better.” The only way to change your life is to change yourself. If you don’t change, nothing will change.
You can change your life if you honestly follow the following practices:
Set great goals. “Don’t make your goal too easy; you’ll be cheating yourself.”- Alec Mackenzie
Question yourself. Ask yourself what it is that you really want. How to get what you want. What to do to get what you want. “The power to question is the basis for all human progress.”- Indira Gandhi
Discipline yourself to make your dreams come true. Without discipline, we cannot really achieve anything in life. With discipline, everything is possible in life. “It is the small disciplines that lead to great accomplishments.“- Jim Rohn
Take action to change your life. Action brings results. Only action can change your life. As a person, your actions will inspire people to follow you. “Words motivate, actions inspire.”- Gary Burnison
It takes discipline to be super successful. Successful people understand the art of self-discipline. They understand that success is more than material possessions.
To be successful, here are four things that you should NEVER do:
Don’t fear anything.
“Do what you fear and fear disappears.”– Dr. David J. Schwartz
If you want to reach your destination, don’t let fear stop you. Fear is real. But don’t let it stop you. Find a way around it. Face your fear and it will go away. Acknowledge it, study it, walk past it, and keep moving toward your goal. No matter how scary, don’t let it stop you. If you allow fear to stop you, you will never achieve anything of value. Don’t let that happen to you.
Don’t live in the past.
“Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.“- Will Rogers
Success is in the moment. Don’t dwell on your past mistakes, on your past failures. We have all been there. You are not alone. If you have not failed, then you have not done anything great. To fail is to succeed. If you don’t fail, you can’t move forward. If you want to move forward, you must be comfortable with mistakes. But don’t make it a habit of making mistakes that could have been prevented. If you can prevent a mistake from happening, prevent it. But if you cannot prevent it, let it happen. Learn from it, and move on. Yesterday’s mistakes belong to yesterday. Today is a fresh day for you begin everything again. Today is a new day for you to start again. Take advantage of it. Don’t let it slip away.
Don’t waste your time.
“Pay attention. Don’t just stagger through the day.”- Jim Rohn
Pay attention to how you are spending your time. This is the best currency you have to compete with yourself and others. If you waste your time, you are wasting your life. If you respect your life, you will respect your time. If you value your life, you will value your time. Time is life. Life is time. Time is money. Money is time. Pay attention to what is important, not to what is urgent. Spend more time with those things that will help you reach your goals. If you catch yourself wasting your time, stop it. Change your strategy. Because if you keep doing the same thing, you will keep getting the same results.
Don’t procrastinate.
“Never put off till tomorrow, that which you can do today.”- Benjamin Franklin
Procrastination is the number one problem that stops people from moving forward in life. It slows people down. It puts pressure on people. If you want to be successful, you MUST fight against this disease- procrastination. If you have something to do, don’t put it off until tomorrow. Start it today, not tomorrow. Start small, and you will enjoy the process.
