If you want to understand yourself, you must learn how to live in the moment. A mindful life means you are living your life in the present. When you live in the moment, it connects you with your real self. It connects you with your inner life.
You are who you think you are. If you think you are a loser, you are. If you think you are failure, you are. If you think you are a winner, you are. If you think you are a victor, you are. If you think you are a victim, you are. If you think you are a success, you are.
How do you see yourself? What are you thinking about? Are you always thinking about the mistakes you made yesterday?
Remember, you will become what you let into your mind. You will become what you think about every day. Everything starts in your mind. Your mind is the most powerful weapon you have. Use it wisely. If you keep allowing negative thoughts into your mind, all you will see in yourself are negative things-the things you didn’t do well, the mistakes that you have made in life, the people who have done terrible things to you.
But if you keep allowing positive things into your mind, you will always see positive things in yourself and others. Remember, positive things attract other positive things. If you are a positive person, a person who sees light in other people, you will continue to attract more positive things into your life.

Earle Nightingale once said, “Whatever we plant in our subconscious mind and nourish with repetition and emotion will one day become a reality.”
If you want to live a positive life, nourish positive thoughts. If you want to live a negative life, keep nourishing negative thoughts.
