The only thing that is constant in life is change. Everything around us is changing. But whether we see it or not, whether we feel it or not, we are changing everyday. We need to change if we are to grow in life.

You can change if you want to. You can do it if it is important to you. People don’t change because change is not pretty. Change is uncomfortable. Change is scary. Change makes people nervous. They are scared of the uncertainty, or the newness that comes with change.

If you embrace change, change will embrace you. You cannot grow without embracing change. Don’t fight change, embrace change. A successful change will take you to the next level. A successful change will get you that promotion you have been waiting for. But if you resent it, if you fight it, if you resist it, you are hurting yourself. You will remain in your comfort zone. Remember, comfort zone is just comfort zone. It offers nothing new. It offers no growth. It makes you comfortable.

You are not going to get better by chance, but by change. You can change your life by changing your thinking. You can change your life by changing the way you view change. You cannot change your life by fighting change, but by embracing change. Jim Rohn said, “Your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change.” If you change the way you think, you can change your life. You are the only one who can do it. No one has the power to change your life, but you. No one has the power to make your life better, but you.

You can change your life, you can make your life better, if you want to. Change it by changing your thinking.

You Deserve To Be Happy

You deserve to be happy. You are here on earth to discover your true self, and to be happy. Happiness is a personal thing. Happiness is unique. What makes you happen will make another person sad. Happiness is not without suffering, pain, or challenges. Happiness is not pain free.

Happiness is responsibility, accountability, and discipline. If you want to be happy, focus on what matters to you, to your life, to your family, and to your community. Dedicate yourself to something bigger than yourself, your ego, or your career. As Hannah Arendt said, “Dedicate yourself to the good you deserve and desire for yourself. Give yourself peace of mind. You deserve to be happy. You deserve delight.” If you want to be really happy, take care of your mind. Don’t let your mind be poisoned by the negative thoughts that you let into your mind. Everything starts in the mind. A happy mind is a happy person.

Real happiness starts in the mind. According to the above quote, “Give yourself peace of mind.” A peaceful mind is a happy person. If your mind is not at peace, you cannot be happy. Because what you are experiencing outside is a reflection of what is happening inside. In other words, your mind controls your actions. Your mind control your behavior. Don’t let negativity mess up your mind. if you do that, your happiness will be at risk of contamination.

“A happy mind is a happy person.”

You deserve to be happy. Yes, you deserve to be happy. But it is not going to happen if you don’t take responsibility for your actions. WHY? Because responsibility is growth, and growth is happiness, and happiness is life. If you are not happy, you are not living. Pat Summitt said, “Accountability is the essential to personal growth, as well as team growth. How can you improve if you’re never wrong? If you don’t admit a mistake and take responsibility for it, you’re bound to make the same one again.”

“If you are not happy, you are not living.”

Accountability is important if you are to be happy. When you hold yourself accountable for your OWN mess, you will learn form it, you will grow in life, you will grow in wisdom, and you will know how to handle the same situation, if in fact, it happens again. You are here on earth to grow, to multiply, to add value to your life and to the lives of the people around you. To make your community a better community. But if you don’t take responsibility for your own mess, how do you expect yourself to be happy? I don’t know. Maybe you know. If you know, let me know, too.

You deserve to be happy! Period.
