Let us start with these questions: ‘Are you truly happy with what you have in your life? Are you truly happy with the life you are living? Are you truly happy with yourself? Are you truly happy with what you are doing, your job? Are you truly happy with life?’

If you are not, why not? If you are, you living your life, not just existing. You know that things are not going to be perfect.

You also know that to live a great life is to be happy with what you have. You know that to live a meaningful life is to be grateful for what you have.

You know that to be who you are, who God created you to be, you don’t have to have everything to be happy. All you need is you. All you will ever need is you. Nothing else.

You have to stop complaining about things. Complaining about things is not going to fix them. Complaining doesn’t make things better. It makes things worse.

Complaining doesn’t make people happy. It makes people unhappy. Complaining doesn’t build life. It destroys life.

Complaining doesn’t lift people up. It brings people down. It does not make things easier for people’ It makes things harder for people.

Complaining does not bring people to you. It drives people away from you. Complaining is a distraction. It is not a strategy.

If you are using it as a strategy, you are wasting your time. Because happy people do not care about people who complain a lot. They want to be around other happy people.

If you have been doing it, just take a look at where you are in your life. What has changed? Nothing. Then throw it away. Stop complaining. Instead, focus on being grateful for what you have.

When you are grateful, you will have more to be grateful for. Life will reward you with more. Life will give you more to celebrate. Because life rewards people who are happy, who are grateful, who are positive, not people who are negative, who are toxic.

If that is you, it is time to change your path. Start now, today, not tomorrow. Now!

How To Reach Greater Heights

‘Who we interact with day in and day out, who we turn to when the going gets tough, and who we share our working spaces with- all of these things have a profound impact on how we feel and perform. If we are constantly working against the mindset of those who surround us, it’s only a matter of time before we, too, will get dragged down….’- Brad Stulberg & Steve Magness

Success is a team sport. It is a team work. If you are not with the right people, no matter how smart you are, how tough you are, how committed you are, someone in your team, the one who is not doing his or her work, is going to bring the team down.

If you are in an environment where you are not free to experiment, to try new things, if you really want to grow, you must go. If you stay, you are not helping yourself. Instead, you are stealing from your future.

To succeed in life, no matter where you are, you need the right people in your life. If you don’t surround yourself with the right people, people who are willing and committed to doing the work, you are not going to succeed.

According to Brad and Steve, ‘If we surround ourselves with those who support, motivate, and challenge us, we can reach greater heights than we could have alone.’ Because no one is smart enough to know everything.

But do not forget that you are responsible for your own success, for your own growth. No one is coming to save you if cannot save yourself.

It is okay to surround yourself with the smartest people in the world, but do not expect them to do everything for you. That is not maturity. Maturity is knowing when to take action. It is knowing when to ask for help.

In the words of Daniel Chidiac, ‘Don’t be scared to be dependent, but never base your total happiness on another individual. You alone are the only one who can truly fulfil yourself.’ Don’t. Do what you can for yourself. Stop waiting.

As always, you are more, not less!
