4 Easy Ways To Bring Out The Best In Yourself

Everything starts with you. To bring out the best in yourself, it is your 'moral obligation to learn and progress.' In his book Primary Greatness: The 12 Levers of Success, Stephen Covey wrote, 'We all have a moral obligation to learn and progress. And lifelong learning is not so much about big campaigns, programs, academic degrees, and credentials, as it is about short daily study sessions and small doses of relevant on-the-job training.'' If your dream is to get to the top of your career, you are not going to get there if you do not have the courage to learn new things every day. If you want to win, invest in yourself. Success comes to those who never stop learning. If you want to win, learn.

'Stay present with yourself.' To bring out the best in yourself, you must not forget yourself. Take care of your mind, your soul, and your body. To do that, in her book Awaken Your Inner Fire: Ignite Your Passion, Find Your Purpose, and Create the Life That You Love, Heatherash Amara writes, 'Move slowly. Love your body exactly the way as it is. Don't push, invite. Don't force, inspire. Don't judge, guide. Listen, and you will know when it is time to pull your energy in close and revitalize, and when it's time to see your inner energy to feed your physical body. Experiment. Stay present with yourself.''

Lead your life. If you want others to follow you, you have got to develop the courage to lead your life. If you are not in charge of your own life, who is? According to Jamie Smart, author of Results: Think Less. Achieve More, 'You are the leader of your life, and you always have been. You can choose the results you want to create. And live into the choices you make.'' This is very important. Because if you are not in charge of your life, you can't change your life? You can change what you control, not what you do not control. So if you want to lead a better life, you have got to be the boss of your life.

Confidence. Confidence. Confidence. You can't do much for yourself if you are not confident in yourself. Remember, confidence is not arrogance. Confidence is humility. If you want to create your life, do not fear to do things differently. Because that is how we grow. You won't grow if you do not believe in yourself. According to Mike Babcock, 'Confidence enables you to make strong choices. Confidence helps you get beyond doubt. Confidence gets you ready for big moments.' If you are not confident, you will find it hard to leave your comfort zone.

We all want to be happy. But to get it, you must NOT focus on it.
And to learn more about what you can do to make you live happy, let us start with these powerful quotes.

To live a happy life, Be 'intentional about what you allow into your mind.' 'By being intentional about what what you allow into your mind, what you think and say, and who you choose to spend time with, you begin to chip away at the negativity that may be preventing you from enjoying your life.'

'Shift your focus from hardship to hope.'
'Shift your focus from hardship to hope. When you're hit by a challenge- whether it's with your health, career, or a relationship- be intentional about focusing on what positive moments are in store for you.' Then ask yourself, 'What is one good thing that you're looking forward to today?''

You can control your thoughts. 'Choose not to let those negative thoughts run rampant in your mind. Instead, acknowledge that many of the mind's initial worries are baseless or irrational. Then shift your thoughts and use your mental energy to think a solution or potentially positive outcome.'

Project a positive attitude. 'Projecting a positive attitude will help you connect with people who will encourage you to be your best.' If you want to be successful, if you want to be happier, don't forget the power of your own attitude.

Make someone smile. 'Use your unique gifts to encourage someone today!' You have what it takes to make other people smile. You have love. You have compassion. Above all, you are a human being. Before you complain, ask yourself this question, 'What can I do to make other people happy today?

Pay attention to what is going on around you. 'if you're feeling stuck, wondering what your purpose could be or how you could create a life with more meaning, start by paying attention to what's going on around you.' We are not blind. We can see what is going on around us. The problem is, we think we know it all. And we don't. If you want to learn, think like a novice, not like an expert.

Have a date with yourself. 'Make an appointment with your creative, playful self.' Who are you without fun? It is good to take things seriously. It is good to do 'the first things first.' But do not forget to take care of yourself. If you want to be successful, self-care is the key.

Stretch yourself. 'You never know what you're capable of until you do something that takes you outside your comfort zone. To stretch your creative muscles, try a new challenge.' We grow when we stretch ourselves. But you can't stretch yourself if you do not know what you want.

Follow your heart. 'What do you do on a regular basis simply because 'everyone' likes it? If you do not like it, stop doing it! Carve your own path to happiness.' If you do not like something, do not pretend to like it. If you do, you are hurting yourself, not helping yourself.
