Where You Are Shapes Your World

‘We are all mirrors reflecting onto one another. The people with whom we surround ourselves shape us.’- Brad Stulberg

Negative people attract other negative people. They are good people, but they are not living like the rest of us. They don’t think like the rest of us. They don’t work like the rest of us. They don’t even believe like the rest of us. And they are not supposed to. Because we are different.

When you are with a negative person, you will struggle to stay alive. Because you are not there. You are not present. You are in your own world. You are trying to make sense of what the person is talking about.

The best way to keep yourself safe, to save your energy, is to focus on the good side of things. It is to focus on what is going well for you. It is to focus on what the Lord has done for you.

Instead of complaining about things, you have what it takes to make things better. You are alive. Yes, you are still here.

You are alive for a reason. God is not joking with you! The fact that you are still here, it is enough to keep you going. If that is not enough, I don’t know what will.

‘Doubt Your Limits, Not Your Abilities’

‘Ignore the haters. They will always be there, but you decide whether or not to let them drag you down.’

‘Embrace that you need to be positive to help the people around you thrive. You can choose to be the person who lifts others up, or the person who brings them down.’

‘Find the silver lining. If you can’t see there is potential good in a situation, you can’t make it happen.’

‘If you are going to spend any of your precious energy doubting something, doubt your limits, not your abilities.’

‘Opportunity is all around you, but if you are too busy gawking at obstacles, you’ll be blinded to those opportunities.’

‘It’s amazing how much better everyone else gets when you work on yourself.’

‘Nothing is more powerful than a positive mind.’

‘Opportunity doesn’t come knocking on your schedule. Good things come to those who persist.’

‘Lighten up and get going. If you don’t go the right way immediately, so what? Just dust yourself off, find the humor, and give it another go.’

‘Don’t think about what is possible for the person you used to be last year. Instead, think about what is possible for the person you want to become.’
