“Our yesterdays present irreparable things to us; it is true that we have lost opportunities which will never return, but God can transform this destructive anxiety into a constructive thoughtfulness for the future. Let the past sleep, but let it sleep on the bottom of Christ. Leave the irreparable past in His hands, and step out into the irresistible future with Him.”- Oswald Chambers, Scottish teacher
The end of something is the beginning of another thing. Whatever you may have lost in the past, let it go. You are living in the present, not in the past. If you want God to help you get it back, you must focus your mind on a positive future. You must stop dwelling on your past errors. You must stop focusing on negative things. You must stop expecting negative things to happen to you. You must stop hanging out with negative people.
Remember that the end of a terrible relationship is the beginning of a positive relationship. Remember also that the end of working for a bad boss is the beginning of working for a better boss. The end of your old life is the beginning of your new life. God wants you to focus your mind on better things, not on small things. Remember, God doesn’t create you to live in fear. God created you to live in love. Because God is love. Oswald Chambers said, “It is true that we have lost opportunities which will never return, but God can transform this destructive anxiety into a constructive thoughtfulness for the future.” He also said, “Every exit is an entry somewhere else.” If you want positive things to come to you, you must let go of what is holding you back. You must let go of negative thoughts.
