How To Succeed At Work And Life

Success is work. It means work. If you want to succeed, you must do the work. Success is not going to come to you if you are not willing to do the work, if you are not willing to roll up your sleeves.

To make it in life, according to Josh Altman, ‘Know what you want. Trust your gut. Succeed at anything.’

If you want to succeed in life, the key is confidence.’ ‘You have to be ready to identify opportunities, you have to have confidence to make quick decisions and fire when those opportunities arise, and you have to learn from your mistakes and aim for better results in the future.’

You can be a success, but only if you train yourself to constantly be creating your own opportunities.’

Whatever your background is, whatever your skill set is, you have what it takes to be a success. The first step is to trust yourself.’

‘Learn what you do, then create a life where you’re usually doing the best of what you do.

If you can’t pick one clear objective you’re trying to get to, you’ll probably go nowhere.’

Pick a goal, pursue it, learn it, learn from what goes wrong, and keep pursuing ituntil you get it.’

Don’t base your decision of a goal on what seems attainable; base it on the desire that’s going to fuel you to do what it takes to keep going.’

If you can’t find the perfect job, work to make the job you have more perfect.’

Winning is definitely better than losing, but if you don’t play, that’s just boring.’

Make the big, daring choices that are required to elevate our lives out of normalcy. Boring choices may keep you safe and content, but they won’t make you rich, successful, or, in my opinion, truly happy.’

‘When you’re doing a job, don’t focus on the variables outside of your control. Focus on execution, do that job well, and trust that this task is part of a larger strategy you’ve already worked out.’

Don’t risk everything you have on an opportunity unless you are absolutely sure it’s the best and only choice.’

Finally, ‘if you keep moving forward and refining your aim, nothing can stop you.’

Don’t Be Afraid To Try New Things

Life is a risk. You are not here to play with your life. You are not here to waste your time. You are here to make a difference, to touch other people’s lives, to change what you can change.

If you do not take risks, life is going anyway. If you are too scared to do the work, other people are getting the job done anyway.

If you do not want to learn, to grow, if you are too comfortable to try new things, other people are trying new things anyway. When they are done, they will leave you behind.

Is that what you want for yourself? Is that how you want to live your life? What do you want people to say about you when you are gone? What do you want them to call you? Lazy? Serious? Nice? Poor? Broke? Angry? Success? Successful? Failure? Or a loser?

The choice is yours. And yours only. If you do not want your life to be like that, you have got to take risks. You have got to be uncomfortable in your comfort zone.

You have got to stay open to what is possible. And a lot of things are possible.

To know what you can do, you must try. To know what is possible, you have got to leave where you are. To say it another way, you have got to go there.

Will you go there? Do you have the courage to go there?

Whether you have the courage or not, remember that all things are possible.

You are more, not less!
