To Beat Your Fears, You Must Never Give In

“There’s always an obstacle. You overcome one to find there’s another one.”- Alexander Dalgarno, British physicist

Life is not without problems and difficulties. You need them. You need to overcome them. Without overcoming your problems, you will find it difficult to get to where you want to be. Remember, problems are not here to weaken you, to defeat you, to embarrass you, but to make you a stronger, to make you a better person, to make you a smarter person. You can’t run away from obstacles. You can’t escape from problems. The best thing to do when you run into one or two is to deal with it. As Winston Churchill famously said, “Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never, in nothing, great or small, large or petty- never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense.”

Every Winner Has Scars

Do not hide your scars. Because where you are going in your life is more important than your scars. Do not wear anything to cover your scars. Let them out. Reveal them to the world. Be proud of your life. Be proud of your journey.

It is through our scars that we learn humility. It is through our scars that we learn more about ourselves. And it is through humility that we endure our scars.

Your life is more important than your scars. Instead of hiding your defeats, your failures, your disappointments, why not celebrate them? Don’t say, “Why me?” Say to yourself, “Thank you, Lord.” Whatever you are going through in your life, do not give up. Do not see it as a problem. See challenges as opportunities to grow yourself, your life, your career.

Do not be afraid to try something new. If you fail at first, try again. Be passionate about your life. The problem is to stay passionate about your life. There are always going to be problems, challenges. You can’t live a problem-free life. It is how you handle your problems that will make all the difference. Herbert N. Casson said, “There are always obstacles and competitors. There is never an open road, except the wide road that leads to failure. Every great success has always been achieved by fight. Every winners has scars. The men who succeed are the efficient few. They are the few who have the ambition and will power to develop themselves.” If you want to succeed, you must face your inner demons.
