Why You Must Listen To Yourself

Life is about doing what makes you happy, what makes you come alive. Life is about living your own life, doing your own things.

It is not about trying to be better than others. It is about getting better than your yesterday’s self. It is about getting better every day. It is about improving your life.

It is not about going after what other people are doing. Life is about purpose. It is about listening to your own power within you.

Yes, you have it. The issue is: you do not listen to it. You don’t do it. You prefer to pay attention to all the noise around you.

That is why most of us are not making progress. That is why we are where we are. That is why we are not working together. That is why love is so scarce.

To make progress, you must be honest with yourself. You must listen to what is going on within you. Because that is where success is. That is where you live.

According to Maulana, ‘… if we seek to progress outwardly, we must first strengthen ourselves inwardly.’ He is right. To hear yourself, you must listen to yourself.

The question is, ‘Do you have the courage to listen to yourself?

Listening Requires This From You

What lovely, larger life becomes ours when we listen to one another.’– Naomi Shihab Nye

We get better when we listen to one another. We connect with other people when we listen. If you want to hear what others are saying, you must listen.

Listen. Listen. Love happens when we listen. Happiness increases when we listen. Listening is a mind builder.

Understanding does not occur when we try to intercept what someone wants to say to us by claiming we already know it.’- Hans- Geog Gadamer

Listening is more than just nodding your head. It is more than waiting to say something.

Listening requires your presence. If you are not there, you won’t hear what the other person is saying.

To know what is going on in your life, you must listen to yourself. If you want to know what is going on around you, you must listen.

If you are interested in what your people are doing, you must listen to them.

If you listen, you will hear. If you don’t, you won’t.

When you listen, you make people feel better about themselves. You are less likely to cause anxiety, pain, rejection, or resentment.

You can’t feel others if you don’t listen. According to Eckhart Tolle, ‘You cannot feel someone else’s Being except through your own.’ If you want people to feel your Being, you must listen to them. You can do it.
