When You Must Accept Yourself

Accept yourself. Acceptance is not about other people. It is not about what you have. It is not about where you work. It is not about where you live. Acceptance is not about things.

It is about life, how we live our lives. Acceptance is life. It is love. It is care. When we accept who we are, we feel better about ourselves. When we accept who we are, regardless of what is happening in our lives, when we accept who we are, we are telling God that He has done a great job, that we are good enough, no matter what.

Remember that not everyone is going to accept you. That is okay. You are not going to accept everyone, anyway. But what is really important to you, to your life, to your career, to your future, is that you accept yourself.

If you do not accept who you are, you are telling the world that you are not good enough, that the world should do whatever it will with you. That is not how to live. To live is to be proud of who you are.

When you are broke, be proud of yourself. Accept yourself. When you are alone, be comfortable with yourself. When no one cares, care about yourself. When you feel lost, find your way back to where you started. Because it is never too late to start again. That is life! It is about starting again.

But to start again, you have got to accept the person you see in your mirror every morning. If not, no one is going to take you seriously.

Don’t Neglect What You Are Feeling Inside

Take care of your feelings. They are your messengers. They are your hidden friends. And they are also your hidden enemies.

They are your hidden friends when you know how to use them to your advantage, when you know what to do with them when they show up, when you know how to manage them.

They are your enemies when you do not know what to do with them when they show up in your life, when you give in to them, when they take charge of your life. And when they are doing the making, when they are doing the driving.

That is why you should always listen to what is happening inside your body. If you don’t know what is going on inside your body, do not judge, just listen.

That is what your feelings really want. They want you to listen to them. When you listen, you will hear what they are saying. If you don’t, you will continue to live in pain, in fear.

When you are not happy with yourself, take your time to know what is going on in your life. Do not say, ‘Why me?’ Instead of bringing yourself down, why not ask, ‘What is the lesson here? What can I take away from this feeling?’ And you do have a lot to take away. To do that, you must not neglect what your inner self is telling you.
