Why You Should Give Yourself To Yourself

Albert Camus said, “To be happy, we must not be too concern with others.” You have a lot of positive things to worry about, not other people’s opinions.

If you want to be happy, do what makes you happy. Be around happy and positive people. Don’t waste your time trying to make other people happy. Make yourself happy. Don’t try to please everybody. Trying to please everybody is like trying to cook your food without water.

The only person you can please is you. The only person you can control is you. Because you are responsible for your own life. Make your life the way you want it. Don’t explain your life to negative people. They will add nothing your life. Instead, they will poison your mind. It is your life. If you want to live it well, you must do whatever you can to stay away from people who are not adding anything to your life.

“It is better to praise yourself than to belittle yourself.”

Don’t explain your life. Live it. Follow your dreams. Don’t become what other people want you to be. Instead, try to become who you really want to be. With hard work, you can become who you were created to be. God created you for a purpose. And that purpose should be your drive, not people’e opinions. God has a plan for your life. Listen to God. Follow God. Look up to God, not to man. Because God will never fail you. He has done it for you before. If you follow Him, he will repeat it again.

You can become who God created you to be. You do that by giving yourself to yourself. Michel de Montaigne said, “Lend yourself to others, but give yourself to yourself.” Don’t allow other people to live your life for you. Live your life yourself. That is how God wants you to live your life.

Michel de Montaigne said, “Don’t discuss yourself, for you are bound to lose; if you belittle yourself, you are believed; if you praise yourself, you are disbelieved.” No matter what, it is better to praise yourself than to belittle yourself. God wants you to praise yourself. And you should always praise yourself. You should never put yourself down. God wants you to go up. People want you to go down. Choose God, not people.

Accept Everything About Yourself

Self-acceptance is self-love. Self-love is the beginning of your life. It doesn’t matter what you have been through in your life. It doesn’t matter where you are now. What really matters is you. You matter. Your life matters. Your self-worth matters.

No matter what you may have been through, don’t let that define your life. Don’t let your past mistakes define you. Because you are not your mistakes. You are you. You are unique. You are smarter, better, stronger than your mistakes. Do not define your life by your mistakes, by your failures, or by your disappointments. Define your life by your successes. Define your life by what you have done right, by your victories.

Our lives are not without failures. Our lives are not without mistakes. Our lives are not without weaknesses. But you must accept them and and manage to live with them. Eric Hoffer famously said, “You must accept certain unlovely things about yourself- and manage to live with them. The atonement for such an acceptance is that you make allowances for others- that you cleanse yourself of the sin of self-righteousness.” He adds: “The end comes when we no longer talk with ourselves. It is the end of genuine thinking, and the beginning of the final loneliness.”

Do not let the opinions of other people to control your life. Do not listen to other people’s opinions. Listen to yourself. Listen to your inner self. Listen to your body. Listen to your soul. It doesn’t matter what people are saying about you. Focus on yourself. Focus on where you are going. Where you are going matters. Your actions matter. If you really want to achieve your purpose, you must listen to yourself. Can you do it?
