‘Control Is In Control When…’

Control is about you, not about others. You can only control yourself, not others. Do not go there. Because it won’t work.

It won’t work. It is about you, not about other people. Before you try to control other people, try to control yourself.

Because the only person you can control is yourself. According to Iyanla Vanzant, ‘… control is in control when:

You are fighting to prove you are right; you will lie to prove you are right; you have a need to be right; you are yelling in order to be heard; the only view that makes sense is yours; you won’t say anything believing you won’t be heard; the only thing that matters is what maters to you; you are still giving reasons why after someone has said no; you think if someone gets what they want or need you will not get what you want or need; you jump on someone’s ‘case’ to keep them off your ‘case’; you believe someone can or will hurt you and you are trying to avoid it.’

Instead of trying to control other people, why not focus on how you are going to get what you want?

Why not focus on where you are going, what you are doing, and how you are living your life?

Why not focus on how you are going to better your life? Above all, why not focus on your happiness?

How To Build The Life You Want

In the words of Maulana Wahiduddin Khan, ‘Obstacles present no hindrance, for they open new avenues of intellectual advance.’

When you face a problem, what do you? Do you give up? Do you just say, ‘I am done. I can’t do it?’

Or do you try to figure things out? This is better. It is better to face what is in front of us than to leave it and just walk away.

Yes, you can walk away if it is not what you are really interested in, or what you want to do with your life.

‘You never build the life you want by getting lost in things you don’t want.’- Dan Rockwell

Because staying with what is not working is a waste of time.

If something is not going to make you a better human being, let it go. If you are not enjoying what you are doing, why do it?

Do not waste your time. Whatever it is that is NOT making you happy, that is stressing you, that is not adding anything to your life, if possible, let it go.

‘You can get what you want if you are willing to let go of what you do not want.’

Let it go. Because you need more time to do other important things, to live a better life, and to do a better work.

Because you can’t win by playing not to lose. You can’t win by not taking more risks. You can’t get what you want by keeping what you have. Because life is about investment.

To get more, you must invest more. You must do more. Learn more. And love more. The question is, will you do it? Do you have the courage to face what is right in front of you?
