You have the power to make yourself happy. Your happiness is in your own hands. You can make yourself happy by doing happy things, by thinking happy thoughts, and by taking happy actions. Don’t think negative thoughts. Happy people control their thoughts. If you want to be happy, control your thoughts.

Happiness is free. But happy people do the following things to keep their happiness healthy:

They don’t chase happiness. Happy people don’t run after happiness. They chase their lives. John Stuart Mill said, “Ask yourself whether you are happy and you cease to be happy.”

They accept themselves. Happiness starts with self acceptance. If you don’t accept yourself, you will not be happy. George Orwell said, “Happiness can exist only in acceptance.”

They know what they want. When we know what you want to achieve in life, we will do anything to make our dreams happen. John Dewey said, “To find out what one is fitted to do, and to secure an opportunity to do it, is the key to happiness.”

They control their lives. Happy people are the owners of their lives. They don’t let people write their stories for them; they write their stories themselves. Aristotle said, “Happiness depends upon ourselves.”

They live in the moment. Happy people live in the moment. They don’t wait for people to make them happy. They make themselves happy by living in the moment. Jim Rohn said, “Happiness is not something you postpone for the future. It is something you design for the present.”

They make other people happy. You don’t look for happiness; you give happiness. If you want to be happy, help people find the happiness within them.

Relax Your Mind

“Mind, thought, and life are inseparable…” If you want to take care of your life, your work, your health, your relationships, you MUST first take care of your mind.

As I wrote before, “A healthy mind is a healthy body.” You cannot have a healthy life if your mind is not healthy. That is not possible. Only a healthy mind can produce a healthy body. Only a relaxed mind can produce a healthy life. If your mind is not relaxed, you can’t focus in the moment. Only a relaxed mind can focus in the moment.

If your mind is not relaxed, you cannot stay in the moment. You cannot focus on what matters to you. You cannot do what you are asked to do, because your mind is not with you. You are busy thinking about irrelevant things. A busy mind is like a butter fly. It never stops flying.

When your mind is relaxed, you are more creative. You are more aware of your environment. You are more connected to your inner self than when your mind is all over the world.

Free your mind. Declutter your mind. If you want to relax your mind, appreciate every moment of your life. Find time to create those moments when you are not thinking about anything, and just enjoy whatever it is you are doing.

To really relax your mind, you must learn to let go of irrelevant thoughts. Let them come, and let them go. Don’t worry about anything. Just enjoy the moment! Forget about what you are going through, and just concentrate on what is in front of you. Because every moment is special. Every moment is important. If you miss it, you will never get it back.

You are the master of your mind. If you can’t control your mind, who will? No one. And if you cannot control your mind, you can’t control anything. Because your mind is your life. Without a great mind, without a healthy mind, without a relaxed mind, there is no life.
