Why People Don’t Like To Change What Is Bothering Them

It is easier to pretend that nothing is bothering us than to face the real story. We like to pretend that everything is perfect in our lives. Let us face it. Nothing is perfect in life.

It is better for some of us to push our problems aside than doing something to fix it. Even when we know the end results of what we are doing to ourselves, to our organizations, to our families, and to our communities. We still do it. The question is, “why?”

We don’t like to look in the mirror to see who we really are. But you can’t blame the mirror for showing the real you. That is the real you. If you don’t like the person inside the mirror, change it. Only you can do that. I can’t do it for you. It is your responsibility to change the person inside the mirror.

We don’t like to face our problems because we think they will go away by themselves. If you find yourself in such a situation, don’t beat yourself up. There is a way out: face it, and change it.

It takes courage to make change happen in life. But if we don’t change what we don’t like about ourselves, we are just going to keep struggling with the same devil. The devil is there. It is not going anywhere.

We are all going through something in life. We all have one or two things to fix. We want to get rid of it as fast as we can, but change takes time. Real change takes time. If you are going through something in your life, don’t pretend that everything is alright, when it is not. If you do that, you are deceiving yourself and the people around you.

If you want to change the thing that is affecting your life, take a bold step to fix it. The only way to solve a problem is to take action. ACTION CURES PROBLEMS. If you keep pretending that nothing is wrong, the thing will continue to bother you, and it will continue to affect you.

If you don’t want something to keep bothering you, you MUST bother yourself to take action to change it. If not, it will continue to bother you.

One Important Way To Be Your Real Self

Why is it important to be our real selves? Why can’t we just keep ‘faking it till we make it?’

Great questions! It is impossible to live a great life without first knowing who you are, what is important to you, and what makes you happy. If you don’t know your true self, then you are not living your own life. You are faking it till you make it. When will you come out of your closet?

The only life you have is YOURS, not mine. Euripides said, “There is just one life for each of us: our own.” Until you start to live your own life, you are not really living your own life, you are living other people’s lives. Do you want to live like that? I hope not.

It is important to live your OWN life. When you live your own life, you will have the chance to focus on yourself- your skills, your talents, your relationships, your personal and professional development, your self- discovery. But if you focus on other people’s lives, you are not living your own life to the fullest. You are wasting your time on earth.

The only way to be your real self, your true self, is to be ORIGINAL. You cannot be yourself when you imitate people. Imitation is not real. It is a photocopy. To accomplish great things in life, you have to be yourself. If not, your self-esteem will suffer. Herman Melville said, “It is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation.” It is better to fail being yourself than to succeed being another person. If you succeed being another person, you have not succeeded. But if you succeed being yourself, you have succeeded.

Be yourself, don’t imitate anyone, and you will succeed.
