When Doubt Creeps In

Ask yourself, ‘What’s the worst that can happen?’

‘Don’t think about what you can’t do. Figure out what you can do. Then do it to the best of your ability.’

‘People often ask me how I have the nerve to make cold calls. First, I’m naturally curious, so I genuinely want to learn from other people. Second, people love to be asked about what they do and, generally, are eager to tell their stories.’

‘I was learning. Every day. That is how you stay fresh and motivated. Always be learning. An important lesson, for sure.’

You can do this, I said to myself. You’re smart. You can figure it out. And you can help people by helping them enjoy water.’

I’ve figured out a lot of stuff in my life. I can figure this out. And if it turns out I can’t, at least I can put this idea out there, that you can enjoy things that don’t taste sweet.’

‘… Sometimes, if you think too much about the end, you will never get past the beginning.’

‘It’s okay to admit that you have a problem or that you have no idea what you’re doing.’

‘It’s really important to bring your personal story into the brand identity. People associate the brand with a human being and that person’s story. It adds tremendous meaning and value to them.’

‘You have to have a good sense of your own strongest skills and also be willing to acknowledge where you fall a little short.’

‘Minimize risks. Always.’

Why You Should Not Make Life Difficult For Yourself

My friend, believe it or not, you are making things hard for yourself. Things happen to us for a reason. Nature does not make things hard for us. Nature makes things authentic, real , and beautiful.

Don’t engage yourself in a fight that you cannot win. Pick what you can do, do it very well. Don’t pick what you cannot do. If you do, you are making things really difficult for yourself. Life is not hard. Life is not difficult if you know how to live it. Life is yours to enjoy, not to abuse. Life is your to share, not to hide. Life is yours to celebrate, not to endure. Life is yours to make happen, not to waste. Life is sweet, not bitter.

According to Anthony de Mello, “Life is easy, life is delightful. It’s only hard on your illusions, your ambitions, your greed, your cravings.” We make things difficult for ourselves. We make life hard for ourselves because we don’t know how to live it. We pay attention to the wrong things. We think the wrong thoughts. We don’t pursue our dreams, but other people’s dreams. We ignore our needs, wants, and concerns. Instead, we make other people happy. We choose material things over our own spiritual life. That is not a life. That is not the way forward. Instead, it is the way backward. Life is still easy. You can make it even easier for yourself.

How? Don’t search for happiness; happiness is already in you. Just connect with it. Don’t take what doesn’t belong to you. Help other people, but don’t carry them. Be grateful for what you have. Live your life in your own way. Don’t stress yourself over the little things. But don’t ignore them. You need the little guys to get to where you are going to. Above all, don’t try to be who you are not. That is deadly! Don’t do it. It is comfortable to do, but don’t do it. No matter how hard, be your REAL self. Even if other people don’t like you, but if you like yourself, that is good enough.
