Think, But Don’t Overthink

Thinking is good. It is the beginning of everything. But if you do it too much, then it becomes your number one enemy to your growth.

Because thinking too much is not doing too much. Thinking too much is not going to change your life if you don’t take your thinking to your own next level.

Don’t get me wrong. It is good to think about things. It is good to think. If you are not thinking, you are not living. If you are not thinking, you are not growing.

If you are not thinking, you are not doing. If you are not thinking, other people are doing your thinking for you.

When that happens, you are not living your life for yourself; you are living for other people. You are chasing their dreams.

Do not let that be you. Because if you are not willing to face your own thoughts, then you are not going to make it past where you are right now. You are going to get stuck in your self-designed rut.

Yes, before you do anything, small or big, make sure that you do your homework, that you ask the right questions. Do not just into it. Ask yourself, ‘Is what I am thinking about even possible to do?’

If you are convinced that you have what it takes to make it happen, then get to work. You will get better at it, but not in the beginning.

Because greatness takes time. You can’t rush mastery. To be good at anything, you have got to be patient. You have got to trust the process. And you have got to trust yourself. Because if you do not believe in yourself, no one is going to believe in you.

You cannot push yourself to achieve greatness. You have got to do the work, the difficult work, the boring work.

If you want to achieve your potential, you have got to stop thinking, start doing. If not, you are going to stay where you are right now, today, this moment, for the rest of your time on earth.

Do not let that be you. Because you are better than that.

The Only Way To Lose

You are not done when the game is still going on. You are not done when your soul still have more to give. You are not done when other people are still playing. You are not done when you still have a lot to give to the world. You are not done when you are still growing, when you are still developing yourself.

You are not done because work is not just about what you are doing. It is also about what you are becoming. And what you are becoming is not a one-time thing. Becoming never ends.

You are not done when you are tired; you are done when you are done. When you are not here anymore, when you are dead.

When you say, ‘I am done’, it means there is nothing to explore anymore in your life. It means there is nothing to do anymore. It means there is nothing to learn anymore. It means there is nothing to do with other people anymore.

Is that true? Is it true that we don’t have anything to do anymore? Is it true that you are truly done?

If it is true that you are, then what are you going to be doing for the rest of your life?

Since you are still here, you still have a lot to do. You still have a lot to learn, to learn again. Don’t limit yourself. Do not let fear stop you from doing the work.

Because the only way to fail is to say, ‘I am done.’ The only way to stay where you are for the rest of your life is to say, ‘I am done.’ The only way to lose in life is to say, ‘I can’t do it.’ The only way to fail in life is to stop doing, to stop living your life. The only way to lose in life is to stop growing, to stop moving forward.

If you don’t want to get stuck in your own rut, you have to keep moving forward. You have to keep doing. You have to keep challenging yourself.

If not, you are in a rut.
