Think, But Don’t Overthink

Thinking is good. It is the beginning of everything. But if you do it too much, then it becomes your number one enemy to your growth.

Because thinking too much is not doing too much. Thinking too much is not going to change your life if you don’t take your thinking to your own next level.

Don’t get me wrong. It is good to think about things. It is good to think. If you are not thinking, you are not living. If you are not thinking, you are not growing.

If you are not thinking, you are not doing. If you are not thinking, other people are doing your thinking for you.

When that happens, you are not living your life for yourself; you are living for other people. You are chasing their dreams.

Do not let that be you. Because if you are not willing to face your own thoughts, then you are not going to make it past where you are right now. You are going to get stuck in your self-designed rut.

Yes, before you do anything, small or big, make sure that you do your homework, that you ask the right questions. Do not just into it. Ask yourself, ‘Is what I am thinking about even possible to do?’

If you are convinced that you have what it takes to make it happen, then get to work. You will get better at it, but not in the beginning.

Because greatness takes time. You can’t rush mastery. To be good at anything, you have got to be patient. You have got to trust the process. And you have got to trust yourself. Because if you do not believe in yourself, no one is going to believe in you.

You cannot push yourself to achieve greatness. You have got to do the work, the difficult work, the boring work.

If you want to achieve your potential, you have got to stop thinking, start doing. If not, you are going to stay where you are right now, today, this moment, for the rest of your time on earth.

Do not let that be you. Because you are better than that.

The Clock Is Ticking

Yesterday is gone. Yesterday is in the past. Tomorrow is in progress. You are making it now, right now. Today is right here, right now.

The question is, ‘What are you doing right now? What is going on in your life right now, right here? How are you feeling? Are you happy? Are you where you are supposed to be?

If you are not where you want to be, you can fix it. You can make it better. You can do something about it.

How? First, focus on what is going on in your life. If you are not happy with what you are getting, don’t ask other people. Instead, ask yourself,What is it that I am not paying attention to? What is it that I am not doing that I am supposed to be doing? What am I thinking that I am NOT supposed to be thinking? What am I supposed to be thinking that I am not thinking. How am I spending my time?’

You have to look within, not without. Because you know what you want. You also know why you are not moving closer to where you want to be. Do you? I think so.

It is better to look within you than to keep blaming other people for your problems. Blaming other people is a waste of your time. It is not going to add a thing to your life. Instead, it will take your focus away from what you are doing. Because when you are blaming others, you are slowly moving away from what you are going after.

Do not do that to your life. Because your life is special. Your life is precious. That is why you should never play with it. If you play with your life, other people will play with you. People won’t take you seriously. People won’t follow you.

So if you want to move your life forward, you must make a decision. One decision, not two decisions. Because your clock is ticking. Remember, great things start with a single decision. Why not today, my friend?
