How To Be Wholly Alive

I am alive. What about you? When you are alive, it means you know where you are, where you are going, what is important to you, and what you are doing to make your life better. Being alive means you are not afraid to think for yourself. It means you are not afraid to live your life in your own way.

“Life is hard to live, but you must be wholly alive to live it.”

Sometimes being alive means standing up for yourself, for your life. Some people will like you, will support you. Other people will hate you for standing up for yourself. But don’t let people’s reactions stop you from being alive.

“Whatever you do, be wholly alive to do it.”

Don’t pretend to be alive. Just be alive. Live your life. Be fully present. Don’t pursue too many things at the same time. Focus on your life, your growth. When you love people, just love them with all your heart. When you work, work with all your power. When you play with people, play with all your heart. When you think, think for yourself. According to William Saroyan, “Try as much as possible to be wholly alive with all your might, and when you laugh, laugh like hell.” Simply put, whatever you do, do it with all your might. That is what it means to be wholly alive. Life is hard to live, but you must be alive to live it. Are you ready to live it?

You Are Not Your Mistakes

You are not your mistakes. And your mistakes are not you. If you want to grow your life, you can’t avoid making mistakes.

“The root of your growth is in your mistake.”

Your life is not about making mistakes. It is about learning from your mistakes. Your mistakes mean nothing. It is what you do with your mistakes, it is what you take away from them, it what you do with your mistakes, that really matters.

If you don’t learn anything from your mistakes, you are planning to fail. In life, to achieve greatness, you must discipline yourself to learn from your mistakes. Don’t just make mistakes. To make them work for you, you must learn from them.

Just because you have messed up doesn’t mean you are stupid. It means you are experimenting. It means you are trying to improve your life. It means you are no longer comfortable with the status quo. It means you are challenging yourself. It means you are becoming the real you. That is how we learn.

We learn by making mistakes. Every mistake you make brings you closer to your real life. The root of your growth is in your mistake. So if you want to grow your life, don’t be scared to make mistakes.
