The Power Of Being Yourself

Being you doesn’t mean that you need to be there for everybody. That is not what we are talking about. But it get people closer to you.

Because when you are who you are, you do not have anything to hide. You have got to be you. If you want people to trust you, you have got to be you.

Be you. Do not fake your life. Being you means you are real to yourself. Yes, it takes courage to be who you are.

You are not here to be a people-pleaser. You are here to make a difference in the world. You are going to be better able to help other people when you are yourself, when you have the courage to do what you are here to do.

Being who you are means being honest with yourself, with your imperfections, trying to be like other people.

You are who you are when you are okay with your weaknesses. You are who you are when you are not afraid to get out of your comfort zone.

You are who you are when you have the courage to say ‘no’ to what you don’t want.

Be you. You can be you, not others. If you want to experience peace, to invite happiness into your life, you have got to be you.

As always, You are more, not less!

Love Gives Life

Is love about you? Real love is not about us; it is about other people. According to William Blake, “Love seeketh not itself to please, Nor for itself hath any care, But for another gives its ease, And builds a heaven in hell’s despair.” Love does not seek itself. Because it is not about what you do for yourself; it is not about how you treat yourself; it is about how you treat other people; it is about what you do for other people. Love is not about you. Love is freedom. Love is freedom because love does not require anything from you. If you have it, just give it out. In the words of Samuel Butler, “It is love that alone gives life, and the truest life is that which we live not in ourselves but vicariously in others, and with which we have no concern.” Whether we want to take it or not, love is not about us. It is about other people- our fellow beings.

“It is love that asks, that seeks, that knocks, that finds, and that is faithful to what it finds.”-

Augustine of Hippo
