Gratitude Matters

You are grateful not because things are perfect in your life. You are grateful because things are not perfect. You are grateful for your life, for what you have, for what is going well, for what is not going well.

You are grateful not because you are perfect, but because you are still alive to make things better, to improve yourself. You are grateful for your life not because you have everything, but because you are still here to chase what you want for yourself.

You are grateful for your life because life is a gift. Life is love. You are grateful because you have the courage to face what you are not comfortable with. You are grateful for your life because you are getting better every day. And you are grateful for your life because you still have a day or two to write your own story.

Before you go, no matter what you are facing right now, if you want to defeat it, choose gratitude. Because gratitude matters.

Perfection Is Your Enemy

‘Perfection doesn’t need grace, and for misfits like us, we need to understand our need for grace over perfection. Perfection will not give us what we are looking for, and in fact perfection tends to change its definition whenever we think we’ve attained it. Exposing your flaws gives grace a chance to do the healing instead of covering yourself with false perfection.’

No one is holding you back from achieving what you want to achieve. No one is blocking you from reaching your destination, from achieving your dreams.

You are not moving forward because you want to be perfect. You want to get everything right before you start.

‘… we need … grace over perfection. Perfection will not give us what we are looking for….Exposing your flaws gives grace a chance to do the healing instead of covering yourself with false perfection.’- Bob Goff

You want to know everything before you do something. Stop it. Do not hold yourself back. You have what it takes to move forward. If you do not do it now, when are you going to move your life forward, when are you going to take your own leap of faith?
