How To Face Adversity

Friedrich Nietzsche famously said, “That which does not kill us makes us stronger.” Life is not supposed to be without adversity. When you face adversity, when things are not working out for you, when you are struggling to make things happen, do not get frustrated. Remain calm. Focus on what you are doing. Focus on what is going well for you. Do not let temporary difficulties stop you from doing your best work.

Henry Thomas Hamblin said, “It is not possible to have an easy life and, if it were possible, then life would not be worth living, for the sole object of life is the building of character and the attainment of wisdom through experience.”

Adversity advances us. It takes us from where we are to where we want to be. We grow when we overcome obstacles. We grow when we overcome adversity. We grow when we face our fears. We grow when we stretch our muscles.

And if we want to go somewhere, we must face obstacles. We must do what we don’t want to do. We must get out of our comfort zone. Because there is no growth in the comfort zone. It is just that- comfort zone.

When you face difficulties, do not run away from them. Explore what they have in store for you. Explore what you can learn from them. Explore how you can use them to change your life. Explore how you can use them to improve yourself. Without self improvement, you cannot change your situation. To improve yourself is to improve your life. And to improve your life is to live, to achieve greatness.

Do not worry about failure. Worry about improving yourself, your life. And you can’t do that if you are not willing to swim with adversity, if you are not willing to get your hands dirty.

Get your hands dirty. Life will always get your hands dirty. How you choose to handle it is your choice. Because life is all about making choices. So if you want to face adversity, you must be willing to get your hands dirty.

6 Simple Ways To Overcome Defeat In Your Life

You can overcome your defeat if you are willing to learn from it. As Robert Collier once said, “In every defeat is a lesson showing you how to win the victory next time.”

To overcome your defeat, here are six simple ways to do just that:

If you want to overcome your defeat, you must believe in yourself.

“Your chances of success in any undertaking can always be measured by your belief in yourself.”- Robert Collier

Whatever you wish to achieve in your life, you can achieve it if you believe in yourself. Things are not always going to go your way. Whatever you have, celebrate it. Don’t beat yourself up for what you don’t have. Always learn the act of celebrating what you. The more you celebrate, the more you will have to celebrate.

If you want to overcome your defeat, you must accept yourself as you are.

Dr. Maxwell Maltz once said, “Accept yourself as you are. Otherwise you will never see opportunity. You will not feel free to move toward it; you will feel you are not deserving.” You deserve to live your life. Don’t worry about what other people says about you. What really matters is what you say about yourself, your life.

If you want to overcome your defeat, you must not stand in your own way

The great Saul Aliskey once said, “The greatest enemy of individual freedom is the individual himself.” No matter how many times you have been defeated, if you want to overcome your defeat, you must not stand in your own way.

If you want to overcome your defeat, you must take responsibility for your life.

Al Bernstein said, “To the victor belong responsibilities.” Remember that you can’t change your defeat, but you can change how you react to it. But when you are clear about what you want, then you can overcome your defeat.

If you want to overcome your defeat, you must discipline yourself.

There are no overnight successes in life. Everything takes time to come to fruition. Plants take time to grow. Human beings take time to grow. If you can discipline yourself, you can achieve greatness in your life. Because success requires discipline. According to Jim Rohn, “Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.”

If you want to overcome your defeat, you must be willing to learn from it.

Bob Proctor says, “You are the only problem you will ever have and you are the only solution.” Don’t worry about defeat. All you need to do is to learn from your defeat. Open your mind to everything. To do that, according to Mark Twain, “All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence, and then success is sure.”
