Mastering The Art Of Saying No For Personal Growth

You have got to practice it. It is easy to say, but hard to do. Very hard to do. Even harder to keep.

But if you can do it, if you can focus on what makes you come alive, if you can make your life your priority, if you can say ‘no’ to what is making you unhappy, if you can say no to what is not in line with your dreams, your goals, your future,

if you can say no to toxic friends, to a toxic boss, manager, if you can say no to fear, to self-doubt, to self-destructive habits, you can achieve anything in your life.

The question is, ‘Do you know when to say ‘no’ to what is no longer helping you?

Why We Should Embrace Our Goals

No matter what you are going through in your life, no matter what life throws at you, to get to where you are going to, you need a plan.

You need a goal. Because ‘goals give us direction.’ They show us where we are going. They take care of our actions.

No matter where you are, if you want to make a difference in your life, you must stay with your goals. You must stay with what you are doing. You must do the work, the real work.

According to Seth Godin, ‘… Every day you get better at something that isn’t that useful- and you are another day behind others who are learning something more useful.’ He is right.

If you want to achieve your goals, you must stay away from doing things that are not going to make you a better human being, that are going to keep you where you are.

To move on, you have got to face what is right for you, no matter how hard. If you don’t have the courage to face your goals, ‘you … put your goal further away.’ Do not do that.

If you want to succeed in your own life, if you are after your growth, your success, you must ‘do something remarkable.’
