‘Not all heroes wear capes, but when talking about your work, wear a fucking cape.’

‘… Even when you’re right, announcing you’re right doesn’t make you more right.’

‘Having confidence doesn’t mean we don’t have fear, it just means we don’t let fear stop us.’

‘The need to be needed is like that mouse you gave that goddamn cookie to: it will always ask for more.’

‘Asking for something and then giving up two seconds into an awkward silence doesn’t count.’

‘The only person thinking about if other people are thinking about you is you.’

‘When you realize a mistake wasn’t that big of a deal… then it wasn’t that big of a deal.’

‘We will encounter hard decisions throughout our entire lives. The key is not to avoid them but to lean into these tools to make them feel less permanent and more manageable. Remember, not making a decision is a decision.’

‘We’re programmed to continually size ourselves up to see if we’re good enough. But the more we compare, the worse we feel, and the more vicious the cycle.’

‘When you think about your work, what are the moments that make you feel amped up with energy?’

It’s time to face those fears and play the ‘What’s the worst that could happen?”’

Comfort Is What Is Holding You Back From Achieving Your Goals

If you want to grow, comfort is not your friend. It is your enemy number one. If you want to be successful, comfort is not your friend. It is your enemy number one.

If you are trying to get back up, to make a difference in your life, in the lives of those around you, you must get away from your comfort zone.

If you are tired of getting the same results, you must change where you are, what you do, and how you are doing it.

Remember, to change your life, you must change. To get to a new place, you must move. You must leave where you are. To know more, you must learn more. That is how life works.

Do not expect to get what you want if you are not willing to do the work. And to do the work, you must get out of your comfort area.

When it comes to success, we all want to be successful. But no one wants to leave where they are. No one wants to try new things. And no one wants to think differently.

According to Claudia Chan, ‘We all aim to be comfortable, but comfort is really the enemy of leadership because so many of steps up the mountain require courage.’

If you want to become great at something, it is not going to happen in your comfort zone. It is going to happen in your doing zone.

If you want less, stay in your comfort zone. If you want more, then make your way out of your comfort zone.

The question is, ‘Do you have the courage to take the first step?’

As always, when things get tough, remember, You are more, not less!
