Why People Don’t Respect You

‘Respect is a two-way street.’ if you want other people to respect you, you must go first. When you respect people, they will respect you back.

Respect is about trust. People are not going to respect you if they don’t trust you. And that is one of the reasons people don’t respect you. But you can change it.

If you want people to respect you, you must do the following:

Respect yourself. When you respect yourself, people will respect you.

Trust yourself. When you trust yourself, when you always do what you say you are going to do, people will trust you. They are not going to respect you if they don’t trust you.

Be there for others. People are going to respect you if they know you are for them, you have their best interests at heart.

So if you want people to respect you, be comfortable being yourself.
