Self-Examination Is Everything. Here Is Why

Self-examination is about seeing with the ‘eyes of the core.’ The eyes in our head see the physical world around us. The eyes of our core provide insights about our beliefs, thoughts, feelings motives, and actions.’– Tim Irwin, PhD

Why is self-examination so important? It is important because we are human beings. And human beings make mistakes.

Human beings are full of different biases. It is also important because we don’t know who we are.

When you ask people to tell you something about themselves, you will hear stories.

But the reality is a different song. The reality is a foreign language. Why is that? Because they don’t know who they are.

What they know about themselves is what the world has given to them. It is not who they are.

To know who you really are, you must examine yourself. And do not do it if you are not going to use the results to improve your life.

Self-examination is everything. It is your hidden eyes. It is not going to lie to you. If you do it well, you will learn something about yourself.

But if you don’t, you will stay the same. That is why it pays to be real with yourself when you are examining yourself.

Self-examination is about honesty. It is about growth. We grow when we examine ourselves. We move forward when we face what is holding us.

If you are not getting ahead in your life, it pays to talk to your self-examination.

Self-examination helps you get better at what you. It reveals your real self to you.

It points out what you don’t know about yourself. It shows you your weaknesses, your negative thoughts, your biases, your dark side.

It also shows you what you are doing well. When you examine yourself, it brings change to you.

It does not matter what you do, where you are in your life, if you want to get to your next level, you must examine yourself. Because

To achieve greatness in our lives, according to Tim, we must seek to understand and harness the unique forces that will make us more effective as well as to diminish those weaknesses that will render us less so.’
