Wherever you are, be there. You are where you are for a reason. Don’t ignore it, explore it. We don’t see what is around us because we are too busy to see it, to enjoy it. You are too busy to enjoy your wife. You are too busy to enjoy your life. You are too busy to read more books. You are too busy to take care of your body. You are too busy to go to your best friend’s birthday.
When are you going to slow it down?
It is time to slow down. It is time to evaluate your life. Why? Because if you don’t check what you are doing to yourself, to your life, to the people around you, you will continue with your busy life. Before you do anything, before you take on a new assignment, ask yourself, “Is it necessary?” Do not just do something to look good. Do something because it is necessary, but not urgent. Stop living your life on the road. Slow it down.
Slow your busyness down. If you want to live a better life, you must give yourself a full attention. When you are with yourself, be there. When you are with your wife, be there. When you are playing with your children, be there. When you are eating, just eat. When you are working, be there. Because every moment is important. Every moment is special. Enjoy it.
Spend quality time with yourself. Spend quality time with your soul. Do not take on more than you can do. Do not take on what you cannot do. Do not promise people what you don’t have. It is better. Take time to rest, to think, to read, to just connect with nature. Remember, you are not going to be here forever, so enjoy every moment of your life. Start now.
