The Only Way To Gauge How Well You Are Doing

What are you measuring in your life? Are you measuring things that are important to you?

Are you after what is going to change your life? Are you after your happiness, your joy, your own passion?

Are you okay with what is going on in your life? If you are not getting what you want to see in your life, what are you doing to get back to yourself, to feel more alive, to be comfortable with your life?

Or are you just doing what other people are doing? Or are you just trying to pretend that everything is okay in your life? Or are you just living your life to make other people happy? Or are you living for others, but not for yourself?

Or are you comparing yourself to others? What are you doing? Are you being true to yourself?

What are you doing right now? If you don’t know what to do next, according to Brianna Wiest, ‘… the only way to gauge how well you are or not doing is to have the courage to go inward, and to feel. To truly be honest with yourself, to keep going when you don’t feel finished, to let your roots sink deeper when you are in something you want to last. To realize that none of us will ever maintain seamless lives, but we are all capable of having one we are in some proud of. We are all capable of deciding what is worth our efforts, our energy, our fight.’

To know whether things are going well or not, look at what is going on in your life right now?

Do not pretend that everything is going well. If things are not, then seek help. You do that by asking some tough questions.

Ask yourself, ‘What am I doing right now? Is this what I should be doing right now? Is what I am doing getting me closer to my dreams? What should I change that is not helping me? What should I keep doing that is working? Who can help me?’ Do not be too smart to ask for help.

Be real with yourself. That is the only way to be you, to get to where you want to be. If not, you are not going to get what you want.

As always, remember, You are more, not less!

Simplify Your Friendships

‘When you simplify your friendships, you are well on your way to leading a richer, fuller, more joy-filled life.’– Bill Hybels

Life is about people. It is about making the right connections. It is not about surrounding ourselves with the wrong people.

Follow great people. But stay away from the wrong ones. Why?

Because great people make you better. They make you bigger than you really are. If you are with people who are always taking from you, they are not the right ones for you.

If you are always giving, they are always taking, then you have got to look elsewhere for better people.

Be comfortable with who you are. Why is that important?

Because if you are not okay with yourself, you won’t be okay with others.
