Are You True To Yourself?

The question is, ‘Are you really true to yourself?’ Are you? Are you living your own life? Or are you trying to be like the next person? Are you chasing your dreams? Or are you doing something that other people are doing? Are you trying to fit in? Or are you working really hard to improve yourself?

Life is tough enough. If you are going to be yourself, to be true to yourself, you have got to have a thick skin. You have got to be willing to stand alone. You are not going to live like other people, work like other people. You are going to be you, no matter what.

You are true to yourself when you are not ashamed of your past. In fact, you are proud of your past failures. They made you who you are today. Without your past learning moments, you wouldn’t be where you are now. So celebrate your past, not reject it.

‘Failures are learning moments.’

You are true to yourself when you know that you are not going to be perfect, that you are not going to get everything right, that you are going to make mistakes, and that you will learn from your mistakes.

You are true to yourself when you do the things that make you happy, the things that bring joy into your life.

You are true to yourself when you have the courage to look yourself in the mirror and say, ‘I love who I am.’

No One Will Love You More Than You Love Yourself

Self-care is your care. If you do not care for yourself, no one will care.

It is on you. No one is going to love you more than you do for yourself.

People are not selfish. They are busy taking care of their own wants and needs.

If you are serious about taking care of yourself, loving yourself, then stop driving yourself crazy.

Stop telling yourself negative things. Stop making your life miserable.

Stop wasting your time with people who don’t even know whether you are alive or not.

Start loving yourself. Start loving your work. Start spending more time with yourself.

Stop trying to be perfect. Start paying attention to what your heart wants you to do.

And if you can do these things for yourself, your life will improve. You will start to feel better about your life.

The question is, ‘Will you try?’
