You deserve to be happy. You are here on earth to discover your true self, and to be happy. Happiness is a personal thing. Happiness is unique. What makes you happen will make another person sad. Happiness is not without suffering, pain, or challenges. Happiness is not pain free.

Happiness is responsibility, accountability, and discipline. If you want to be happy, focus on what matters to you, to your life, to your family, and to your community. Dedicate yourself to something bigger than yourself, your ego, or your career. As Hannah Arendt said, “Dedicate yourself to the good you deserve and desire for yourself. Give yourself peace of mind. You deserve to be happy. You deserve delight.” If you want to be really happy, take care of your mind. Don’t let your mind be poisoned by the negative thoughts that you let into your mind. Everything starts in the mind. A happy mind is a happy person.

Real happiness starts in the mind. According to the above quote, “Give yourself peace of mind.” A peaceful mind is a happy person. If your mind is not at peace, you cannot be happy. Because what you are experiencing outside is a reflection of what is happening inside. In other words, your mind controls your actions. Your mind control your behavior. Don’t let negativity mess up your mind. if you do that, your happiness will be at risk of contamination.

“A happy mind is a happy person.”

You deserve to be happy. Yes, you deserve to be happy. But it is not going to happen if you don’t take responsibility for your actions. WHY? Because responsibility is growth, and growth is happiness, and happiness is life. If you are not happy, you are not living. Pat Summitt said, “Accountability is the essential to personal growth, as well as team growth. How can you improve if you’re never wrong? If you don’t admit a mistake and take responsibility for it, you’re bound to make the same one again.”

“If you are not happy, you are not living.”

Accountability is important if you are to be happy. When you hold yourself accountable for your OWN mess, you will learn form it, you will grow in life, you will grow in wisdom, and you will know how to handle the same situation, if in fact, it happens again. You are here on earth to grow, to multiply, to add value to your life and to the lives of the people around you. To make your community a better community. But if you don’t take responsibility for your own mess, how do you expect yourself to be happy? I don’t know. Maybe you know. If you know, let me know, too.

You deserve to be happy! Period.
