Do You Really know Who Your Friends Are?

Friends are important. The question is, ‘Do you really know who your friends are?’ Do you know what they are doing? Do you know how they treat other people? Do you know how they talk about things they do not understand? Do you know what they do when they are alone? Do you know what they are going after in life? Do you know what they like? Do you know what they do not like?

What about you? How do they talk about you? How do they treat you? Do they celebrate you when you win something? What about when you lose? Do they get angry when you tell them something great about yourself? Are they willing to work with you? Are they mean to you? Are they jealous of you?

Look, friends are important to you, to me, to others. But no one wants to be around people who are going to make you unhappy. No one wants to be with a bad friend, a jealous sucker. No one wants to be with a terrible person.

If you are not comfortable with your friends, you have a choice: move away from them.

If you do not, you are fooling yourself.

Where Does Success Come From?

Success does not happen by accident. If you are not willing to do the work, then stop talking about success. Because success comes from doing the work,

from showing up, from loving what you are doing,

from paying attention to what matters, from living your life,

and from many failures.

Success comes from no longer doing those things that you don’t want to be an expert in and making room in your life for things you do want to be an expert in.’– Nigel Cumberland
