The Power Of A True Friend

If you can’t find a true friend, then be a true friend to someone else.

We need other great, positive people in our lives. We need people who are going to be there for us when the going is no longer in view.

We need other people to lift us up when we are down, when we are not ourselves.

We need other people to be with us, but do not wait. Do not wait for others to be your friend. If you cannot be your own best friend, you are in trouble.

If you want to live a meaningful life, start by being comfortable with yourself. If you are comfortable with yourself, you can bring other comfortable people into your life. To put it another way, you won’t have any problem attracting other great people into your life.

No one can make you feel really comfortable with your inner self, with your real self.

Be your own best friend. You can make it happen. How? You start by loving yourself. By treating other people with respect.

People want respect. People want to be around other people who treat them with respect, with love, with dignity, with compassion.

And they want to stay away from people who do not respect them, who are self-centered, who are after other people for themselves, who are not happy, who don’t know what they want, and who are not going anywhere in life.

If you are having trouble finding your best friend, do not worry. It takes time to know people. It takes time to know who we are. And it takes time to know the world around us.

Do not worry about it. There is nothing wrong with you. When the time comes, you will meet your best friend. But before you meet your best, you can be your own best friend. How about that?

Remember, you are your own best friend. Why not celebrate yourself?

Take Whatever It Is That You Are Doing Seriously

‘You would not think any duty small, if you yourself were great.’- George MacDonald

You are not your work. But you are not going to do more than how you see your work.

If you don’t respect your work, you are disrespecting yourself.

If you do not value what you are doing, you are not going to do it really well.

And if you do not do what you are doing better than your past jobs, you are stealing from your future self.

Whatever you are doing right now, do not play with it, take it seriously. When you take what you are doing seriously, you will do whatever is within your power to make it happen, to be great at it, and to take it to the next level

It does not mean more time; it means quality. It means gratitude. It means love. It means growth. It means life.

If you are NOT growing, check how you are doing what you are doing. Ask yourself, ‘Why am I not getting better?’ Am I doing it with love? Am I giving it my all? Or, am I just killing time?

If you pay attention to what you are doing, what you are doing will pay attention to you.

Growth is a two-way street. You always get what you put into something. If you do not respect your job, you are not going to be happy with your life.
