The Best Thing You Can Do For Yourself

‘The best thing you can do for your fellow, next to rousing his conscience, is- not to give him things to think about, but to wake things up that are in him; or say, to make him think for himself.’- George MacDonald

Do your own thinking. If you are not growing, it is because you are not doing your own thinking.

If you have not started doing your own thinking, if you have not started facing your own life, if you are still waiting for others to tell you what to do, how to live your life, what to do with your income, or where to take your next vacation, you are not thinking for yourself; other people are doing your thinking for you; you are not living for yourself; you are living for others.

If you are not where you want to be, maybe you are not thinking enough. Maybe you are hiding your greatness.

To get your promotion, you must do your own thinking. That is what great leaders do. They do their own thinking. They don’t wait for people to tell them how to think.

Thinking is the best thing to do for yourself. It is the gateway to your inner self. If you want to bring out the best in yourself, if you want to wake yourself up, you must do your own thinking.

Do not be scared to think. If you do not know what to think about, just think about when you were a little child. Maybe that will take you back to when you were not afraid to try different things.

Do it for you. Do not be scared of what is going to come out. Whatever comes out, you have what it takes to deal with it.

Deal with it. If you don’t deal with your secrets, they are going to deal with you. When they do, you are not going to be happy with yourself.

If you don’t think for yourself, if you do not do what you are supposed to do to get to where you want to be, life will not let you go unpunished.

If you don’t want life to deal with you, you must do your own thinking. When you do, you get bigger. And your world gets bigger.

If You Don’t Understand Something, Do Not Ignore It

The world is bigger than us. The world is not what you can explore in a day, not even in your lifetime.

So if you are really interested in the world around you, if you want to know more than your own world, if you want to know more than yourself, you must face your own understanding.

If something is new to you, it is an opportunity to get into a different world. Do not waste it!

When you meet other people, especially people who are different from you, who are not from your country, who don’t speak your language, who are struggling to fit into your society, it is an opportunity to get to know them.

It is an opportunity to add value to your own life. It is a great way to check your own past assumptions. And it is a great way to question what you think you already know, especially about other people.

Don’t think you know it all. You don’t know it all. No one knows it all. Why is that? Because the world is bigger than you. It is a global village.

You will learn a lot from other people if you are open to learning.

Remember, learning starts with you. You learn about something when you are really interested in knowing about it. When you are intrested in other people, they will be interested in you.

If you don’t know something, do not just throw it under the rug. Don’t put it aside. Learn more about it. Ask ‘why’ questions.

When it comes to learning, everything is important. When it comes to exploring the world around you, nothing is a waste.

Remember, nothing is a waste if you know what to do with it. If you want to do more, you must understand more. To grow more, you must know more; you must understand more.

If not, you are not going to grow bigger than your own self-created world.
