The Power Of Honesty: Own Your Story

‘If you cannot tell the truth about yourself, you cannot tell it about other people.’- Virginia Woolf

Be honest with yourself. Tell the truth. No matter where you are, what is going on, if you want to experience peace in your life, you must be honest with yourself.

Do not deceive yourself. Don’t make things up. Tell the world about yourself.

Do not be scared to talk about yourself. If you do not do it, someone else will do it for you.

Do not let that happen. Because you are enough. Because you have what it takes to tell your own story. You are strong enough, smart enough, to write your own story.

If you are not writing your own story, someone else is writing it.

If you want to read the correct story about yourself, you must write it yourself. You must own your story.

That is what honesty is. Honesty is when you have the courage to accept your life, when you are NOT scared to talk about your mistakes, your failures, your successes, and your dreams.

Tell it. Say something about yourself. You know who you are, what you have done, what you are doing, and where you want to be. We don’t know what you are thinking, but you know what you are thinking right now.

We don’t know what you are planning to do next, but you know where you are going. We do not know what you have done in the past, but you know what you have done in the past, and where you have been. You know everything about your life.

When you are comfortable with yourself, when you are comfortable with your mistakes your failures, they can’t control you anymore.

That is one of the benefits of being honest with yourself, with others. When you are honest with yourself, you are free. Honesty means freedom.

Because you do not have anything to hide. You are free. You are free because you are not afraid to talk about your life.

You are comfortable with yourself, no matter where you are. That is what people want. People want to deal with real people, people who have nothing to hide.

When you are who you are, no one can control you. Because you do not have anything to hide.

The question is, ‘Are you living your life?’

How To Get Other People To Trust You

Trust is everything. You can’t force other people to trust you. You can’t force your friends to trust you. You can’t force your spouse to trust you. You can’t force your coworkers to trust you. You can’t force your boss, your manager, to trust you.

You don’t demand trust from other people. You work for your trust. You earn it. Trust is what you get when you are true to yourself.

If you want people to trust you, don’t fight for your trust. Do not convince them to trust you. Be yourself.

Be yourself. Live your life. Do not lie to anyone. Do not even lie to yourself, even when no one is watching you.

Trust will come. People will trust you when you are a good person, you live with dignity, when you are true to yourself, when you love what you are doing, when you surround yourself with other trustworthy people.

And the best way to get people to trust you is to first trust yourself. If you do not trust yourself, no one is going to trust you.

You trust yourself when you do what you say you are going to do. People like that.

You trust yourself when you are not scared to tell people what they need to hear from you.

You trust yourself when your words and your actions are the same. They are not different.

You trust yourself when you do not take on things that you cannot do. You trust yourself when you know what you can do.

You trust yourself when you surround yourself with other trustworthy people. And you trust yourself when you live your life with integrity in every area of your life.

That is how you earn trust. Again, do not force people to trust you. Because trust is about your behavior.

It is about how you live your life. So if you want people to trust you, you must be true to yourself.

The question is, ‘Are you true to yourself?’
