Worry About What You Can Control

Why are people worrying about what they cannot control? We cannot control everything that happens to us, but we can control certain things. If you waste your precious time worrying about what you cannot control, you are not helping yourself, but hurting yourself. Stop doing that.

You cannot control all the things that are happening in our society, but you can control how you respond to them, how you think about them, and how you associate yourself with them. What is happening inside you is within your control. But what is happening outside you is beyond your power. So don’t try to control what is beyond your power. When you do that, you are putting yourself under pressure.

You can control how you respond to other people’s attitudes, but you cannot control how other people treat you. That is their own behavior, not yours.

If you want to live a stress-free life, learn to separate what you can manage from what you cannot manage. Learn to separate reality from fiction. You must also learn how to set priorities that matter to you, so that you don’t waste your time worrying about useless things.

When you fail at something, don’t worry too much about it, because you cannot change the outcome anymore. Going forward, you can control your habits- the things you do every day.

Focus your energy on things that can change your life, not things that cannot change your life. Focus on controlling your attitude, your emotions, and the treatment of things around you. Those things you can control, but the results you cannot.

Stop worrying and start living!

Attitude is the master

Attitude is everything in life. If you want to be successful, change your attitude. Your attitude is what decides your next move in life. If you have a bad attitude, if you see life through a negative lens, if you see problems instead of opportunities, if you think you know everything, if you think you don’t have to learn anything anymore, if you don’t do your job well, if you don’t want to help people succeed, but yourself, you need to change your attitude.

Your attitude is everything. Whether you will make in life or not, it depends on how you approach life’s circumstances. Thomas Jefferson said, “Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goals; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.” People want to work with someone with a positive attitude. People want to be around someone with a positive attitude. When you have a positive attitude, your presence will make people comfortable. Your presence will relieve them of their problems. People want to be around someone who will make them special, who will make them comfortable, who will make them laugh, who will make them feel better. People don’t care how much you know, people don’t care how attractive you are, if you cannot make them feel better about themselves, you have no chance of winning them over to your camp. Joe Osteen said, “Choosing to be positive and having a grateful attitude is going to determine how you are going to live your life.”

If you want to change your attitude, start by taking a baby step. Change your mindset. When you are confronted with problems, instead of blaming other people, take a positive look at it, and ask yourself, “why did it happen?” Check what you can do to fix it. If you cannot fix it, don’t cry, don’t worry, relax and look for someone you trust who can help you out. Don’t try to do it yourself if you cannot.

Treat people with respect. Don’t be a bully, be a healer. Don’t focus on obstacles, focus on possibilities. When you are working with people, don’t criticize them when they make mistakes. Let them know where they went wrong, what they could have done to prevent it, and how to handle it next time.

When people focus on what cannot be done, you MUST focus on what can be done. When people focus on negative things, you MUST focus on positive things. Always see light where there is no light. Wherever you go, take light with you, take a smile with you, take positive news with you, and take health with you. If you continue to do that, you are a person with a positive attitude.
