Change is not what we like to talk about. But if we are not comfortable with change, how are we going to move forward. We cannot move forward in life without change. Whether we like to change or not, we must do something about it.

We must accept it.

We must see change as a good thing, not a bad thing.

We must not fight change. We must embrace change.

We must see change as a way forward, not a way backward.

If we can see change as a good thing, then we can do something about it. Change is not easy. It is not easy because we don’t know what is going to happen. But if you want to cope with change, according to Neil Postman, “… Survival in a rapidly changing environment depends almost entirely upon being able to to identify which of the old concepts are relevant to the demands imposed by the new threats to survival, and which are not.”

Whether you know what is going to happen or not, do not stress yourself about it. It will come to pass. According to Nick Tasler, “If you believe stress is trying to carry you over a big obstacle or through a challenging situation, you’ll become more resilient and may even live longer.” Change comes with stress, but don’t focus on the stress.

Instead of worrying yourself about the change, focus your thoughts on what the change is going to do for you. Change is life. If you are not ready to shake things up, you are not ready to live.

The Path To Your Greatness

Greatness doesn’t come from doing great things; it comes from doing small things really well. Greatness is not about big things; it is about how you handle small things in your life.

You have the seeds of greatness inside you. Don’t search for greatness. You have it. It is your job to connect with your greatness.

It doesn’t matter what you do, but it matters how you are doing it. If you are in a job that you don’t like, instead of complaining about it, look carefully, you will connect with the greatness in your job.

There is greatness in everything. We don’t see it, because we are chasing the wrong goals.

To connect with your greatness, practice these habits everyday:

Whatever you do, focus on making a difference in other people’s lives. As I said before, it doesn’t matter what you do, but it matters how you are doing it. It is how you do what you do that will change your world. In the powerful worlds of Nelson Mandela, “What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.” What a powerful quote!

If you want to connect with the greatness within you, you must take the long walk to freedom. To change your life, to connect with your greatness, it is going to take a long walk. Greatness doesn’t happen overnight. It happens everyday.

If you want to achieve greatness in your life, you must be patient. You must work on your craft everyday. To quote the great Nelson Mandela, “There is no easy walk to freedom anywhere, and many of us will have to pass through the valley of the shadow of death again and again before we reach the mountaintop of our desires.”

Don’t fight your fear, welcome it. Let us be real here. You can’t achieve greatness without facing your fear. I don’t know what you fear. Fear is there. Don’t fight your fear, embrace it. Don’t let your fear stop you from achieving your greatness.

According to Dan Rockwell, “The door you fear is the door to step through.” If you don’t face your fear, your fear will stop you from moving forward. You want to move forward, right? Don’t fight your fear, understand it. Welcome it. Embrace it.
