When You Do Not Need Courage

Courage is everything. Courage is life. Without courage we are not going anywhere. Without courage, we are stuck.

But if life is not treating you really well, you need courage to keep going, to keep changing your life, to keep breathing.

If you can’t figure out what is going on in your life, you need courage to ask some tough questions. For example, ‘What is going on? Why am I here? Why am I not making progress?’

If you want to unstuck yourself, if you are not happy with your current position, you need courage to do it. You need courage to tell yourself ‘what you need to hear.’

Yes, it takes courage to do everything, to start anything. But when you are familiar with something, when you have already done something, now or in the past, you do NOT need a full load of courage to face it.

You do not need courage when things are going well with you, when you are happy,

when you are getting things done, when the going is easy, when people are treating you well,

when you are loving your life, when you are getting what you want, when you are not distracted,

when you are not in a bad relationship, when you are not stuck in a terrible job,

when you are not working for a toxic boss, when you are not depressed, when you are not going for a new job interview.

When things are fine, you do not need courage. You need focus and discipline, no matter what you are doing.

If not, you will lose focus. Do not let that happen. To win, you must stay in the game.
