What Are You Still Holding On To?

‘Holding on is not the same as taking care of what you value or protecting that which is yours.’ – Iyanla Vanzant

To you, what does ‘holding on’ mean? Does it mean taking care of what you have? Does it mean fighting to defend what you already have?

Why do we even hold on to things that we know are not helping us? Why?

Because we don’t want to lose our things. We want what we already to be there, to stay with us. We don’t want to lose them. We love what we have.

Guess what, if you don’t let go, nothing is going to come in. To let go is to let in. If you want to see new things in your life, you must let go of the old ones.

You cannot be in two places at the same time. That is not possible. If you want to be good at what you are doing, you will have to let go of one.

Letting go means freedom. It won’t hurt you. Instead, letting go is a blessing.

Remember why you are here. Your life matters. You are not here to protect what is not worth protecting. You are here to live your life, to be who you are, to do what you love to do.

If you do not want to let go of what is no longer helping you, what you need won’t be able to get to you.

For example, to grow, you must do whatever you can to make it to where you can make your dreams happen. Do not let things hold you back. And do not hold yourself back by holding on to things that have no power to change your life.

The question is, ‘What are you holding on to?’ Whatever it is that you think in your life that you are still holding on to, if it is not helping you, if it is not getting you closer to your dreams, you MUST let it leave your life.

Because you don’t have time to waste. Because you life matters. Because you want to advanve to your next level.

In the words of Iyanla Vanzant, ‘When you can stop holding on, you begin to realize that your blessings cannot be taken away, nor will they go away until the Universe is ready to up the ante.‘ She is right.

You can stop holding on. You can do it when you start small. Do not rush yourself. Because ‘rushing leads to nowhere.’

Accept Who You Are

Life starts with you.
When you accept yourself, you expand yourself.
When you love yourself, you expand your life.

No matter what is going on in your life,
accept yourself for who you are.

If you want other people to accept you,
you must first accept yourself.
If you want other people to love you,
you must love yourself.

Do not forget that everything in your life starts with you.
If you don't love yourself, you are rejecting yourself.
If you do not accept yourself, you are not for yourself.
You are against yourself. You are against your dreams.
You are against your goals.
And you are against your future.

Accept yourself for who you are.
No one is perfect, including yourself.
So no matter what, do not beat yourself up.
Because if you love yourself, you will not reject yourself.
You will celebrate yourself.
If you accept yourself, you will not reject yourself.
You will not do anything to hurt yourself, your life.

You are responsible for accepting yourself,
for giving yourself love.
Do not wait for others to love you
before you love yourself.
Do not wait for others to improve your life.
No one is going to do it for you.

It is you and only you are resposnsible for your life.
You and only you are responsible for loving yourself,
for making your life better, for creating a new path for yourself.

If you want others to treat you well,
you must first treat yourself well.
If you want others to love you,
you must first love your life. Because it is your life.
