Are You Willing To Be Vulnerable?

Vulnerability is everything. It is not easy, but without it, we are not going to grow. Vulnerability is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign of strength. It shows that you are willing to grow. It shows that you are willing to face your own reality, to attract great things into your life.

When you are willing to be vulnerable, it means you are willing to accept what is. It means you are not trying to change what you cannot change. It means you are willing to learn more about the world around you.

When you are vulnerable, things get better. Your relationship with yourself gets better. Your relationships with other people get better. And your emotional life gets better.

Unless you are willing to be vulnerabe in your life, according to Iyanla Vanzant, ‘… you will not be equipped to deal with the reactions of those you will meet when you get there. Unless you are willing to be vulnerable, to make mistake, to be taken advantage of, to look stupid, to fall down and stumble when you are trying to get up, you will not know how durable or dependable you are.’

If you really want to know what you are capable of, what you can do with the power that God has given to you, you must be willing to be vulnerable.

You must be willing to look stupid. You must be willing to try and fail. You must be willing to be yourself, no matter what is going on in your life. You must be willing to face your mistakes. You must be willing to be there for yourself, even when no one is there to support you. And you must be willing to be your ‘real Self.

The question is, ‘Are you willing to look stupid? Are you willing to be your real Self? Are you willing to face your own reality, to admit what you do not know? If you are, you are willing to learn, to grow, and to share. Congratulations!

Why Some Of Us Are Not Free

Talking is not freedom. Walking around is not freedom. Driving the best car is not freedom. Wearing the best clothes is not freedom.

Freedom comes from love. It comes from self-love. If you don’t love who you are, nothing else matters.

When you love who you are, your own freedom is possible. When you are in love with yourself, you can do all things. Because you just feel great about yourself.

You are free when you do not see obstacles as things that are trying to stop you from achieving your dreams.

When you are free, the world is free. When you are not free, the world is not free.’

You are free when you don’t focus on what is not working for you, when you are comfortable with yourself, when you are not afraid to stand for something.

You are free when you are NOT looking for anyone to give you permission to live your life.

You are free when you don’t bring other people down in order to win in life.

You are free when you think about other people, when you put other people first, when you ‘eat last.’

You are free when you are comfortable hanging around people who are different from you.

You are free when you are doing what you love, what makes you come alive. That is what you love. What we love is what makes us come alive. If you are not doing what you love, you are not alive. You are on your way. You are getting there.

You are free when you know that things, great things, take time to get done, that freedom makes things possible.

Think about it. Can you get real things done when you are not free? It is not possible. If you want to live a great life, you must set yourself free. When you are free, you are free to fly, to create, and to live.

The question is, ‘Are you living your life? Are you free to create? Are you free to enjoy your world? If not, what are you doing to make a difference in your life?

When you are free, the world is free. When you are not free, the world is not free.
