Becoming The Best Version Of Yourself

‘Excellence is not a destination; it is a process of becoming. The real reward isn’t a bigger deadlift, a faster mile, or a sturdier table. The real reward is that you become a better version of yourself.’- Brad Stulberg

Remember that you are in control of your development. You are in charge of your growth. If you want it to happen, you have to be patient with yourself. Do not expect greatness to happen overnight. It is not going to happen.

If that is what you have been waiting for, that is not going to be. Stop waiting for what is not going to happen. Stop waiting for help. Stop waiting for other people to tell you how to live your life.

If you want to get to where you want to be, you have got to start working on things that have the potential to change your life.

That is how you get better. You don’t get better by talking about what you are going to do. You don’t get better by waiting for other people to tell you what is next. You get better by working better. You achieve greatness by doing great things. You get better by taking baby steps, by focusing on what matters to you.

You don’t get better by talking about getting better. You get to excellence by working hard. If you do not give up, if you don’t forget why you are doing what you are doing, you will get there. Be patient.

The Cost Of Being Right

‘… Even when you’re right announcing you’re right doesn’t make you more right.’- Lia Garvin

If you want to advance your life, do not fight to be right. Because people don’t like to around people who are always right.

Do not fight to be right. Fight to be valuable. Fight to be great at what you are doing. Fight to be yourself, not to be right.

When you are dealing with other people, do not fight to be right. Instead of trying to be right, look for ways to add value to them.

Being right is not going to get you far in your life. It is going to hold you back from reaching your destination. Because no one wants to be around people who are always right.

If you want to grow your life, focus on getting better, not on being right.
