To Understand Yourself Requires Patience. Do You Have It?

It takes time to really understand something, including you. We are quick to judge ourselves. We are good at pointing out what we are not good at. We love talking about our mistakes. We like to associate ourselves with people who think and act like us. Is that the way forward? Is that how to grow in life? Maybe, maybe not.

To know who you really are, you must be patient with yourself. You must tolerate yourself. You must be comfortable with both your mistakes and your ugly past. Yes, you must be comfortable with them. You can’t erase them just like that. They are part of your life. Instead of trying to erase your past, which is impossible, why not try to understand it. Why? When you understand your past, you can prepare for your present and your future.

“Be patient with yourself. You are growing stronger every day. The weight of the world will become lighter… and you will begin to shine brighter. Don’t give up.”

Robert Tew

No one can lead you to yourself REAL self. Only you can do that. If you don’t know yourself, you can’t change your life. You can do it. You must be comfortable with yourself. No one can make you comfortable with yourself but you. Why not do it. What are you waiting for?

Life is too short to waste. Don’t waste yours. It is your life. Make yourself comfortable with who you are. Don’t put yourself down. Always lift yourself up. To do that, you must be patient with yourself.

Do You Have The Power To Confront Yourself?

Can you look yourself in the mirror and confront what you see? Can you ask yourself some serious questions about your life? Can you tell yourself what you need to hear? Can you be really honest with yourself?

It is time, my friend, to stop telling yourself what you want to hear. Your inner self doesn’t want to hear that anymore. Your inner self wants you to be honest with yourself. Because if you don’t understand your true self, you can’t understand your problems. You want to understand your problems, right? It is time to look yourself in the mirror and question what you see.

If you can confront yourself, you can live your real life. You can live fearlessly. According to Henry J. Kaiser, “Live daringly, boldly, fearlessly. Taste the relish to be found in competition- in having put forth the best within you.” Can you put forth the best within you when you don’t even know your real self? To put forth the best within you, you must first confront your fake self. Without that, putting forth the best within you can’t happen.

Nikki Giovanni said, “If you don’t understand yourself you don’t understand anybody else.” When you understand yourself, your true self, life becomes easier for you.

To confront yourself, you must be honest with yourself. You must do the things that will make your life better. You must stop lying to yourself. You must face the enemy within you- the negative self. Your worst enemy is what you tell yourself every day. You have got to stop telling yourself lies about your own future.

If you want to reach your dreams, focus on the process rather than the results. Do not underestimate what you can do. Don’t take things so personally. Have fun. Don’t stop until you succeed. People fail because they just stop trying. Be comfortable with mistakes. Make lots of them, but not the same ones. Mistakes are a fact of life. You can’t do without them. You can’t learn without them. You can’t grow without them. You can’t move forward without them. So when you make mistakes, be happy. But make sure you learn from them. Don’t just make them and wake away. If you do that, you can’t grow.

If you want to succeed in life, you must first confront your fake self. Are you ready to do that?
