How The Past Shapes Your Present

You cannot live in the past, but you can live your full life in the moment. You cannot create a new life in the past, but you can create a new life in the moment.

You cannot do your best in the past, but you can do your best in the moment. So stop living in the past. Stop thinking about yesterday. It is over. It is gone! It has no control over your life any more.

The only way to live your full life is to dig deeper into your inner life. And you can only do that in the moment, not in the past.

If you want to enjoy your life, you must focus on what you are doing right now. According to Paulo Coelho, “Past and future exists only in our memory. … It isn’t what you did in the past that will affect the present. It is what you do in the present that will redeem the past and thereby change the future.”

If you want to redeem yourself, you must pay attention to what you are doing right now. Now has the power to change your future.

You do your best work when you pay attention to what you are doing now. Do not worry about the past. Do not worry about your tomorrow. Because if you take care of today, the moment, the present, tomorrow will take care of itself.

If You Don’t Like Your Life, Paint A New One

“The whole fun of living is trying to make something better.”– Charles Kettering, inventor

You have what it takes to make your life better. You have what it takes to make your life better every day. Do not worry about yesterday’s mistakes. Focus on what you are doing right now. Now is all you need to build a better future. To do that, you must believe in your power to change your life. You can change your life today. Today. Now. Not tomorrow. Not next year. Now. If you don’t start now, when are you going to start?

Do not let fear stop you from painting a new life, a new image. Fear is small. You can walk past it. If you don’t like the life you are painting, you can change the color. If that doesn’t work, change the brush. If that doesn’t work, change how you view your paint.
