The Best Thing You Can Do For Yourself Is To Resolve To Be Better Than Who You Were Yesterday

If you want to grow, just know that learning is not an avent; it is a lifelong thing. If you want to succeed in your life, do not seek to be like other people. All you have to do is to NEVER stop learning about yourself, your life, where you are, and where you are going.

Your life is about you, not about other people. So if you are not living your life in your own way, you are wasting it. Because living other people’s lives will never get you to where you really want to go.

Focus on where you are going. Do not try to be like others. Just work harder to be better than who you were yesterday. That is the only way forward. Because to get what you want, to be successful, to grow, to make a difference, you must know who you are. If you do not know who you are, you will not get what you want.

If you know who you really are, you can achieve whatever it is that you want to achieve. It is important to know who you are. Knowing who you are is the beginning of success. Knowing who you are is the beginning of self-realization. Think about it. If you do not know yourself, if you do not know what you want to be, how can you do great things? You can’t.

And you can achieve greatness if you are willing and ready to take responsibility for your life, for your actions. According to Joan Didion, “The willingness to accept responsibility for one’s life is the source from which self-respect springs.” Yes, taking responsibility for our lives is everything. Responsibility is about racing against yourself, not racing against others. Racing against others is a waste of time. The best way to move forward in your life is to race against yourself. And if you can race against yourself, if you can face yourself, great things will come to you. The question is: Are you willing and ready to race against yourself?

How To Face Adversity

Friedrich Nietzsche famously said, “That which does not kill us makes us stronger.” Life is not supposed to be without adversity. When you face adversity, when things are not working out for you, when you are struggling to make things happen, do not get frustrated. Remain calm. Focus on what you are doing. Focus on what is going well for you. Do not let temporary difficulties stop you from doing your best work.

Henry Thomas Hamblin said, “It is not possible to have an easy life and, if it were possible, then life would not be worth living, for the sole object of life is the building of character and the attainment of wisdom through experience.”

Adversity advances us. It takes us from where we are to where we want to be. We grow when we overcome obstacles. We grow when we overcome adversity. We grow when we face our fears. We grow when we stretch our muscles.

And if we want to go somewhere, we must face obstacles. We must do what we don’t want to do. We must get out of our comfort zone. Because there is no growth in the comfort zone. It is just that- comfort zone.

When you face difficulties, do not run away from them. Explore what they have in store for you. Explore what you can learn from them. Explore how you can use them to change your life. Explore how you can use them to improve yourself. Without self improvement, you cannot change your situation. To improve yourself is to improve your life. And to improve your life is to live, to achieve greatness.

Do not worry about failure. Worry about improving yourself, your life. And you can’t do that if you are not willing to swim with adversity, if you are not willing to get your hands dirty.

Get your hands dirty. Life will always get your hands dirty. How you choose to handle it is your choice. Because life is all about making choices. So if you want to face adversity, you must be willing to get your hands dirty.
