How To Prepare Yourself For Greater Challenges

Challenges are your stepping-stones to your next level. Growth comes from doing difficult things, things that others don’t want to do.

Don’t shy away from challenges. If you want to get to your next level, you must face your challenges.

Your challenges are yours to face. It is when you face your challenges that you find your real self.

It is when you have the courage to face your fears that you find your real power.

It is when you face your life that you find your inner power.

If you really want to prepare yourself for what is ahead of you, you must do the following:

You must have a positive attitude. Why is that? Because it is not what you are going through in your life that is the issue. It is how you view it. If you want happiness, focus on doing things right.

You must always prepare to give your best. Success is about giving your best. If you are willing to give your best, success is likely to happen.

You must embrace change. We love where we are, especially when we are really comfortable. If you want to grow, your comfort zone is not the right place for you.

Why? If you keep doing what you have always been doing, you will always get the same thing. Nothing is going to change in your life. You are not going to grow. You are not going to add anything to your life. And you are going to be behind. Do you want to be there?

That is not where you want to? Remember, nothing stays forever. Things are changing. If you are not changing, you are going to be left behind. Is that what you want for yourself?

Why We Suffer

Why do we suffer? Where does suffering come from?

According to Pema Chodron, ‘Our repetive suffering does not come from this uncomfortable sensation but from what happens next… .It comes from rejecting our own energy when it comes in a form we don’t like. It comes from continually strengthening habits of grasping and aversion and distancing ourselves. In particular it comes from our internal conversations- our judgments, embellishments, and labels ablout what’s happening.’

If you want to free yourself, you must face your reality. instead of hiding your feelings, why not focus on what you can change? Why not explore what you are feeling, what the feelings are communicating to you?

No matter what is going on in your life, if you want to learn from it, you must embrace your feelings. And do not run from your feelings; accept them.
