Why You Must Listen To Yourself

Life is about doing what makes you happy, what makes you come alive. Life is about living your own life, doing your own things.

It is not about trying to be better than others. It is about getting better than your yesterday’s self. It is about getting better every day. It is about improving your life.

It is not about going after what other people are doing. Life is about purpose. It is about listening to your own power within you.

Yes, you have it. The issue is: you do not listen to it. You don’t do it. You prefer to pay attention to all the noise around you.

That is why most of us are not making progress. That is why we are where we are. That is why we are not working together. That is why love is so scarce.

To make progress, you must be honest with yourself. You must listen to what is going on within you. Because that is where success is. That is where you live.

According to Maulana, ‘… if we seek to progress outwardly, we must first strengthen ourselves inwardly.’ He is right. To hear yourself, you must listen to yourself.

The question is, ‘Do you have the courage to listen to yourself?

Failure Is Not The End

Success and failure are friends. You cannot separate them. If you want success, then you must embrace failure.

Why is that? Because success comes after failure. Growth happens after mistakes.

That is why you should not be afraid to fail. Yes, it is not comfortable. It is embarrassing. It makes you look stupid.

It is okay. If you want to succeed in your life, you cannot stop it from happening. You cannot stop failure from visiting you.

When it happens, to move forward, embrace what happened. Do not try to keep it from other people, especially those who can help you.

If they can help you learn from your failure, then bring them in. Do not be too big to learn from other people.

Just because you are not where you are supposed to be, that doesn’t mean you are a failure. No, you are not. You are a learner. You are on a journey, a journey that will never end.

Because failure will never stop.

Remember, failure is not about you. It is about getting better. It is about trying new things.

According to Maulana, ‘… failure is no disaster, for it only serves to make one into a more profound, thoughtful person.’ I agree. If you want to improve yourself, you must embrace failure.

To do that, when you fail, just see it as an opportunity to learn more about what you are doing, to ask more questions, to learn more about yourself, and to learn more about the world around you. And it is.
