Five Ways To Make Your Future-Self Happy

Who you are today is not who you are going to be tomorrow. Your future-self is who you want to become.

To get there, you must take care of today. Whatever it is you are doing today, if it is not getting you closer to where you want to be, it is taking you away from it.

To make your future-self happy, you must get out of your safe-zone. Why is that? Because doing the same thing won’t get you there. To get something new, you must think differently. You must take risks, purposeful ones.

To make your future-self happy, you have got to be yourself. Because if you are not yourself, you are not going to get to where you want to be. You need your real self, not the one you are faking.

To make your future-self happy, you must build your life from a place of love. Because where there is love, nothing is impossible.

Finally, to make your future-self happy, you have got to be comfortable with yourself. You are enough. Be comfortable with yourself.

Isn’t that enough? What else do you want?

Why Hope Matters

No matter what stage of life you’re at right now, keep reminding yourself that it will get better. Just keep being your bad bitch self, and it will all work out the way it’s supposed to in the end, with you ruling your own life on your own terms and no thought for any of the haters.’– Amber Rose

Go to work for yourself. Go to work for your dreams. And be willing to give more, not less. Just know that not everybody is going to celebrate you when you succeed.

But people will have a lot to say if you do not make it. That is okay. Do not let that bother you. Let them talk. Your work is not to stop them from talking. Your work is to keep going, is to keep making a difference. To keep hope alive.

Is it going to be perfect? No, it is going to be hard. But do not give up. Believe in what you are doing. According to Amber, ‘Everytime you trust yourself, every time you do something scary or hard, you become a little bit stronger.‘ That is how we grow. That is how we make progress.

If you want to make yourself stronger, to prepare yourself for what is next, you have got to be true to yourself. The question is, ‘Are you in it for you?’
