If you are not happy with where you are, check the people around you. Why is that? It is important because you can’t succeed alone. Life is not a solo business. If you want to go far in your life, if you want to be successful, you need other people.

According to John Maxwell, ‘Dysfunctional people want others to function on their level. Average people want others to function on their level. High achievers want others to achieve.’

if you want to go far in life, you must surround yourself with high achievers. Why? Because they want you to achieve greatness in your own life.

WORDS OF WISDOM:

Life is not a solo business.’

You need other people to succeed.’

You can’t win alone.’

How To Turn Negative Messages Around

It starts with your own mindset. If you believe you can do great things, you can do them. Do not doubt yourself. Because self-doubt is the beginning of failure.

In his book Making Hope Happen: Create the Future You Want for Yourself and Others, Shane J. Lopez writes, ‘… mindset influences every aspect of your life, from work to sports, from relationships to parenting. If you believe you can change and develop, you know you can move beyond your present limitations.’

To ‘move beyond your present limitations’, you must change your thoughts.

You can do great things. Do not doubt yourself. Negative messages are not good for you. They are not good for your life, for your health, and for your happiness.

Here is why. According to Dr. Shane J. Lopez, ‘Negative messages are no more ‘realistic’ than your highest goals, and they rob you of agency.’

‘Negative messages deplete you, sap your agency, and keep you stuck. Disputing these messages will help you reclaim your motivation for the goals that matter to you most.’

If you want to achieve greatness, you must first embrace yourself. You must stop telling yourself negative things. If you do not, remember, ‘negative messages … keep you stuck.’ The question is, ‘Do you want to be stuck?’
