The Cost Of Being Right

‘… Even when you’re right announcing you’re right doesn’t make you more right.’- Lia Garvin

If you want to advance your life, do not fight to be right. Because people don’t like to around people who are always right.

Do not fight to be right. Fight to be valuable. Fight to be great at what you are doing. Fight to be yourself, not to be right.

When you are dealing with other people, do not fight to be right. Instead of trying to be right, look for ways to add value to them.

Being right is not going to get you far in your life. It is going to hold you back from reaching your destination. Because no one wants to be around people who are always right.

If you want to grow your life, focus on getting better, not on being right.

An Opportunity To Stay Relevant

Growth matters. To grow is to be alive in the world. To change is to stay important in the world. Because of that, every change becomes an opportunity to stay relevant, to pursue what is important to us.

To pursue what you want is to see where you are going. If you can see where you are going, then you are not paying attention to what is important to you.

Why is that? Because no one can see the future. No one can predict the future. So do not even try to do it.

Instead of trying to predict where you are going, why not focus on what you are doing right now? Why not take charge of your life right now? Why not focus on how you are going to get to the other side of where you are.

Because what you want, what you want to achieve in your life is on the other side of where you are. To get it, you have got to get out of where you are.

If not, you are stealing from your future. You are delaying your future. The question is, ‘Are you adding to your future, or are you stealing from your future?’
