‘Stop Stopping Yourself’

Life is a journey. You are going somewhere. Do not focus on where you are right now, focus on where you are going. Do not focus on what is going on in your life right now, focus on what you are becoming.

Life is not perfect. And do not expect yours to be perfect. You will experience things. You will face obstacles. But if you do not forget yourself, you can defeat them.

Do not settle for anything less than you are worth. Do not settle for anything average. Because you are not an average person. You are a complete human being. You deserve to be treated as such.

If you want to be successful in your life, you must stop limiting yourself.’

Do not limit yourself. Stop telling yourself things that are not helping you. Instead, focus on what you can do to make your life better. And there are lots of things you can do. You can start by exposing the things that you think are holding you back. Do not fear. Let them out. Let the world see what you have been going through alone.

According to Ozan Varol, ‘To expose your self-imposed limitations, take extreme action. Go for a moonshot you don’t think you’ll achieve. Ask for a raise you don’t think you deserve. Apply for a job you don’t think you’ll get.’ In other words, just do something new, something you have not done before. Just get out of your safe zone. When you do that, the way you do things will change.

If you want to live a better life, a peaceful life, you must ‘stop stopping yourself. Open the door and leave.’

Your Life Cannot Be Greater Than Your Thoughts

To increase your life, you must increase your thoughts. Because your life cannot be bigger than your thoughts. You are not going to be bigger than your own thoughts. In his book Awaken Your Power Within: Let Go of Fear Discover Your Infinite Potential Become Your True Self, Gerry Hussey writes, ‘If you repeat something to yourself enough times, your mind will eventually believe it and, when you form a belief, it is very hard to have a life or an experience of life that is different to your deepest inner beliefs. A building cannot stand outside the size of its foundation, and our lives cannot be bigger than, better than or different from our inner beliefs.’ So if you want to change your life, you must first change your inner beliefs.
