Don’t Dwell On What Went Wrong

Things will always go wrong in life. You cannot control everything in life. There are things that you can control, and there are things you cannot control. Control what you can control. Don’t worry about what you cannot control. If you focus on what you cannot control, that is the beginning of unhappiness. If you want to be happy, focus on what you can control.

Look, if you have everything under your belt, you are playing it too safe. When you are playing a safe game, nothing significant will go wrong. But when you are playing a rough and intelligent game, something will go wrong. When you are trying to change your life, it won’t be easy. When you are getting into a new job, a new career, a new city, it won’t be easy. When you are trying to be creative, it won’t be easy. When you are trying to live your life, in your own way, it won’t be easy. It is not always going to be easy. But if you play your game well, you can reduce the stress associated with moving forward. As Mario Andretti put it, “If you have everything under control, you are not moving fast enough.” When you are doing creative things, you have no control over them. You just want to explore.

Dennis Waitley said, “Don’t dwell on what went wrong. Instead, focus on what to do next. Spend your energy on moving forward toward finding the answer.” Whatever you are going through in life, looking forward for solutions is the best answer. If you continue to dwell on the past, you can’t find the right solution to your problem.

In moving forward, focus on how you are going to improve your life, not living in the past. If you continue to live in the past, you will always find it hard to enjoy the moment. Look forward, not backward. Discipline yourself for greatness. Jim Rohn said, “It is the small discipline that leads to great accomplishments.” Instead of beating yourself up, focus on doing the things that will take you closer to your dreams. The little things matter. If you do the little things well, the big things will take care of themselves. In addition to that, you must program yourself for success. Don’t live in yesterday’s world. Live in today’s world. Think success. Plan for success. Preparation is the key to success. If you want to succeed, you must prepare yourself to succeed. Confucius, the great philosopher, said, “Success depends on our previous preparations, and without such preparations there is sure to be failure.” If you want to succeed, you must be ready to work hard. Success depends on hard work.

If you don’t live in yesterday, if you don’t focus on what is not working for you, if you focus on the positive things and how to make things better for you, you will come back again. You will come back again!

Failure Is A Learning Experience

Failure is what you think it is. You cannot be successful without first embracing failure. You cannot be successful without understanding what failure really means.

The difference between successful people and unsuccessful people is how they think about about failure.

What does failure mean to you?

Whether you like to fail or not, failure is a great master. It is part of who we are. Failure has something to teach you. Open your mind to receive the gift of failure. People fail not because they are not smart enough, but because they fail to embrace failure. They fail to accept failure as part of life.

Failure is not the end of life, it is the beginning of life.”

If you want to be successful in life, don’t be afraid to fail. Embrace failure, learn from it, and make your next move. When you fall down, you are not a failure. When you fall down and you stayed there, then you are a failure. I hope you are not.

“Failure is not the issue, the issue is how you receive failure.”

When you fail, be happy. I know this is hard to take in, but it is true. No matter what, don’t let failure stop you from moving forward. Failure is not the issue, the issue is how you receive failure. You will fail at something. We have all failed at something, and we will continue to fail. That is failing forward.

Failure is not the end of life, it is the beginning of life. It gives you time to prepare and launch again. This time you are a different person pursuing the same goal. Don’t let failure stops you. It is a learning experience. Learn from it!
